First time to try Burmese dish out of curiosity. I took the weekday set as I do not know what to order. The appetizer Samosa was good. The main course Pork Belly Curry with separate coconut rice is also good. Taste is unique and hard to describe. Something like a thick adobo but on the sweet and spicy side. The Surfer Punch is a bit concentrated and adding water to delute makes you had a refill. I felt full finishing and feels heavy on the tummy. Staffs were attentive, I can see them checking on my table even if I do not need anything. Overall 5-Stars. For me not the type I can get back to often but will be back to try their other dishes.

01/14/26. Burmese Cuisine

First time to try Myanmar food. Rangoon Ruby offers a surprisingly vibrant Burmese cuisine that is flavorful with a play of spices.

The lady staff was friendly and gave excellent recommendations. Service was prompt and efficient.

The standout was the Pork curry which was rich and succulent… somewhat similar to a Rendang. The biryani rice went well as a partner

The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance is charming with simple but tasteful decor.

Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

Found this randomly on Google Maps and was pleasantly surprised. The service was exceptional, especially considering the not-so-expensive prices. This was also a great introduction to Burmese food, which was fantastic. The tea leaf salad was a real standout — it was such a unique combination of flavors that really worked! Definitely coming back to try other dishes when I’m in the area.

Food: Everything we ordered is great. My instant favourites are the tea salad and pad Thai. My child had calamares which he also enjoyed. Chicken biryani medium size comes with rice that’s good for 3 persons. Flavor is just right and not overwhelming.

Service: Servers are welcoming and friendly. I wasn’t able to get the name of the one who assisted us but I appreciate it when he explained to us the contents of the tea salad while mixing it for us. On the other hand, 4-star for service as they didn’t include the vinegar dip for our take home calamares even when the server clearly told me that he’ll just give us a new serving of it when I attempted to pass to him the dip that came with the calamares on our table.

Atmosphere: The first table that we seated in is in an area of the restaurant that is not well ventilated, I’m not sure why because the place is air conditioned. We then transferred to another table recommended by the staff where it feels more comfortable.

They are located beside BBQ chicken and near the YABU exit.

We will definitely be back and recommend it here. Hoping for this restaurant’s success, we wish they’ll stay at festival mall forever haha

This was my first time trying Burmese cuisine; everything was served quickly, well presented, and the server was accommodating. The ambiance is cozy and clean (thanks for the hot towel). For personal feedback, you might consider reducing the salt a little in the food; otherwise, the dishes are flavorful and worth their price. We will definitely be back!

It was our first time trying out Burmese food and we could not have been happier with our introduction to Burmese cuisine (and to think that we just saw this on the map).

From the food to the service, this place was a pleasant surprise. Firstly, it helps that their menu offers small portion sizes because it allows you to try multiple dishes (and they will not break the bank either). We also had some food allergies (peanuts and seafood) and other restrictions (acidity) that were no problem since the staff were extremely helpful with recommendations to cater to our needs.

Some personal standouts for me were the Rangoon Chicken Curry and the Mint and Pepper Chicken. Make sure to also try their Coconut Rice (on the sweeter side, go for Jasmine if you want a blank canvas for the flavorful food) and the Burmese Tea (can be hot when requested) for a unique dining experience.

Would definitely come back. Thank you to Ms. Candy and the rest of the staff for such warm hospitality and support throughout our stay. Great food aside, it was great learning about Burmese cuisine and how Rangoon Ruby catered it to Filipino palettes while still respecting the origin of the food.

We had a great experience here!

We tried their fiest for 2 where you can choose 1 appetizer (palatha), 2 rice (ordered burmese indian rice and coconut rice), 1 main course (garlicky pork), pistachio samosa(?). We also ordered their samosa

Food was great! We wanted to try the pork belly curry but it was not available probably because it was a bit late (7pm).

The coconut rice tasted sweet and it was the perfect for the garlicky pork. The burmese rice tasted like biryani rice – it was good on its own but does not complement the main entree.

Their samosa was not what we expected. We are used to the samosa with pastry bread. Their samosa was made from some kind of lumpia wrapper with sweet and sour sauce on the side. It still tasted good.

Our dessert was not prepared on time so we opted to had it to go.

Overall a great experience and we plan to go back and try their other dishes

Excellent food and service! The dishes are flavourful and come in satisfying portions, even the ‘small’ orders. It also has a great ambiance and a responsive staff. Genuinely enjoyed our dinner at Rangoon Ruby – Festival Mall.

It was our first time to try Burmese cuisine; er had a wonderful experience here! Staff were very courteous, the ambience was regal and pleasant, plus food was really delicious. We felt the food influences from their neighbors in South Asia and Indochina, with a hint of their own expertise. Thank you also for the dessert voucher. We will definitely come back.

Hidden gem! One of the best Asian restaurants I’ve tried so far. Almost all dishes are good for sharing, especially the biriani rice. As expected, everything was flavorful because of the spices. Interior is superb and staff were very nice, they even gave us free Burmese halo-halo!
