Me and pops came for a Friday lunch. Waitress Jayley is awesome our tea cups stayed full and the Original Southern Gratitude was 100% in full effect.
Coming here makes you feel at home with a full belly and the only thing Stax’s doesn’t provide is a pillow for your nap after a home cooked meal.

Stopped by Stax’s Original for breakfast and left absolutely impressed. No wait time, which is a miracle these days, and the atmosphere was perfect — cozy, classic, and full of that southern hospitality energy you hope for in a local spot.

I ordered an omelet with a side of home fries, fresh fruit, and yogurt — and every bite was on point. The omelet was fluffy, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. The home fries had that perfect golden crisp and seasoning that makes you wish you ordered a double portion. The fruit was super fresh (grapes, blueberries, strawberries — all sweet and chilled), and the strawberry yogurt was a great way to round out the meal.

Service was top-tier. Friendly staff, quick coffee refills, and just a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. You can tell this is a spot locals love — and now I do too.

Food good, service good could use a good cleaning, lights and fans dusty. Steps to the eating area cruddy and needed to be scrubbed, toilet seat I’ll fitting in the ladies room. Would have given 5 stars across the board if it was cleaner.

Old school diner that has been operating since the 1970’s. Busy with patrons from every walk of life, filling up on hearty breakfast and coffee. Seemed packed but was seated right away for two. Breakfast hours are 7am-11am (M-F), 7am-Noon (Saturday), and 8-11am (Sundays).

I ordered the Deuces Wild – Two buttermilk pancakes, two scrambled eggs, and two slices of bacon. These pancakes were complete buttery goodness! Nice and fluffy too. Everything else was par for the course. Fortunately, their prices are super reasonable. The bottomless coffee was just what we needed to start the morning tdiner

The place that started the local eating dynasty.
Been around for forever and the community still piles in to eat on a regular basis. It’s a classic diner with the usual choices, but done with care day in and day out.
Basic food done right.

This is exactly what we were looking for! The restaurant is HUGE but still has the old school diner feel. The menu was simple and affordable. Everything was good. Two people got omlets, my daughter had pancakes, and another had an egg breakfast. It was all delicious. We really enjoyed the biscuits.

Great lunch spot for meat and 3. Old diner style with southern hospitality and country cooking. Service was great and the food was hot and yummy! Fried chicken was crunchy and moist and went perfectly with mashed potatoes and gravy. Country fried steak with mac and cheese, green beans and fried okra was awesome!

Phenomenal breakfast I had the omelet and husband had the French toast. I had the pleasure of sitting by Burt who is a regular here. We chatted about the pictures on the walls and where we’re from and where we’re going. He told me how he’s been frequently coming to the diner for years. Pleasant place with nice locals. Our waitress was amazing as well taking care of a ton of people on a busy Saturday morning and doing it well. Definitely will come back soon. Thanks for a wonderful breakfast.

This a five star across the board when it comes to the food and everything on the inside. You can’t get a better breakfast. But for time spent getting in and out and difficulty navigating the parking lot I took a start because I had to if I could take a half a store I would. The staff are wonderful and you guys keep up the good work
