Update: I had to come back and repost this review because my original one was mysteriously removed, and somehow the opposite version appeared in its place. That alone speaks volumes. Instead of trying to cover up poor service, it would be wiser for management to focus on treating customers with respect and integrity. Accountability builds trust, not deleting honest feedback.
Now onto my experience. This was my second visit to this Church’s Chicken on Cleveland Avenue, and unfortunately, it confirmed everything I felt the first time. The manager on duty, a Black woman, showed absolutely no patience or professionalism toward me as a paying customer. From the moment I began placing my order, her attitude, tone, and body language were all negative. It felt like I couldn’t even ask a simple question without her snapping or acting irritated.
To make matters worse, the food itself was below standard. The chicken tenders were pale and tasted old, almost as if the grease hadn’t been changed. I tried to stay calm and simply asked for a fresh batch, but even that turned into a problem. She gave me a hard time about replacing the order and didn’t even want to provide a fresh BBQ sauce for the new meal. The entire exchange was unnecessary and disrespectful.
What really stood out was how the other employees seemed tense and quiet around her. They looked like they were just trying to make it through their shift in peace, which says a lot about the work environment she creates.
As a customer who just got off work looking for a decent meal, I should not have to deal with that kind of treatment. Management should be setting the example, not lowering the standard. I hope someone from corporate takes this seriously because what’s happening here is unfair to both customers and staff.

Absolutely the worst church’s chicken I’ve ever had in my entire life. Over cooked. Not seasoned. At all. Forgot my biscuit. Tea tasted like syrup. The ONLY thing edible was the mashed potatoes and pepper. This is why I hate using delivery food service cause I swear they threw garbage in the box and sent it out.

The worst service I have ever had in my fifty years of living. The cashier was on her phone the whole time she was taking my order. I asked for mixed chicken. They gave me only dark meat saying that there was no white meat in the store. She turned around and gave me cold old fries. And gave me a drink with no ice. Next time, I would rather starve than ever stop here again.

Very disappointing experience. I arrived at this Church’s Chicken at 1:50 PM and the doors were locked. The cook clearly saw me and immediately signaled for the door not to be opened. When I went to the window, the young lady told me the front register was “broken” and that they were drive-thru only. I explained that I don’t have a car and asked if I could walk through the drive-thru since that was the only option. I was told no. The situation felt dishonest and unwelcoming. As a result, I took my business to Popeyes instead. Customer service needs serious improvement.

Can someone contact me from corporate or the owner of this store if franchise immediately. Today 10/14/2025 I ordered a family meal chicken was old and my biscuits were missing out of my meal. I went through the drive thru. I ask was everything there before leaving an was told yes. This meat was terrible,the Cajun rice has been sitting to long hard at the bottom and the container was melted apart. I had to drive to far to come back and when I arrive to my destination I notice all of this. I called the store 10 times no answer. Can who ever owns this store contact me immediately this is terrible. I’m very disappointed

Worst Church’s ever! Trust and believe those reviews about the uncooked food! This location they are so nasty and I’m not talking about their attitudes. One of the girls cooking the food and taking money had no gloves on and was on her phone at the same time. Look at these pictures of this uncooked chicken that they bought out to my car after making me wait 20+ mins. I’m so sick, I literally got food poisoning from this! This location needs to be shut down! If you don’t want to be sick like m don’t eat here!

EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING about this meal was disgusting. Clearly no one in the entire restaurant knew what they were doing. Just look at the food. Never have I seen the gravy look like that nor the biscuits. EVERYTHING was done wrong. I am soo disappointed I wasted my money. Yall gone make somebody sick playing in The kitchen like that.
