We wanted to try it but we will not be back. Food just wasn’t right. Killed my appetite. Hash browns were overcooked and somewhat burnt. I asked our waiter if this is how they usually serve them and he said no. He offered to have them remake them but at this point that would be a no.

I come every Sunday, and Aunty K always treats me like family here. She brings the spirit of Aloha that’s rare in other Denny’s Restaurants on the island. The food is great. The service is above most, and the atmosphere is laidback and peaceful. I will continue to come here for mu morning Sunday Breakfast.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pumpkin pecan pancakes were straight fire—so onolicious! My daughter’s birthday cake pancakes were bomb too. Serving sizes were just right, and I love that in Hawai‘i we can always choose rice as an option—only on the island haha.
Service was excellent—no wait, peaceful setting, and our sweet waiter kept our waters topped off the whole time. My aunt and I were able to talk story for hours with no rush, and we truly felt at home and well taken care of.

11/02/2025. Went for brekky. Got seated right away. Place seems clean and nice. Server gave us our menu. Waited for about 10 min for our order to be taken. Got me the lumberjack slam. With Scrabble eggs. NEVER ORDER SCRAMBLE EGGS. They use the fake eggs from the carton. Ham had a bitter taste. Pancakes was only thing good. Server ck on us 1 time for the duration we was there. The place really sucks.

Went here one time to try their food out of curiosity cos we love trying new restaurants or local food store. From their menu pictures of the food looks good… so we tried the signature slams. We were expecting what it looked like from their menu. But we got our food on 2 separate plates each meal. Bacon was not crispy, sausage links were tough/hard or should we say over cooked, pancakes were very dry and crumbling, potato hash were not fully cooked, french toast was kinda oh-kay. Although their service was good and there is no long wait at that time.

Me and my significant other have made Denny’s one of our “go to” spots since we first met. We’ve been to many and this is in our opinion a good one. The service is friendly. The food is good and fresh with appropriate proportions. And, the atmosphere is peaceful. We have rarely, if ever, been to this Denny’s and had to deal with a crowd. If anything it usually host a pretty small crowd. Granted when we visit it is usually very close, if not at, opening hours. However, it is this perk that may have resulted in it’s one demerit. That being that they usually seem a little under staffed. Our orders usually come promptly but getting seated and checked on sometimes might take just a tad longer than one would hope. Not agonizingly so, but for those without patience, such as my spouse haha, it might be something bothersome.

Starting from when we first arrived I brought my wife and 2 children here for lunch was seated alongside the wall where they were packing everyone a whole empty room and they were putting everyone along the waitress gave us menus and asked what we wanted to drink like she was in a hurry we said 3 drinks she didn’t wright them down and started walking off before I could place a order for the 4th drink I had to ask her to come back to tell her the 4th drink then when she brought the drinks we were still looking for what we wanted we asked for more time she just said ok and walked off and came back about 2 min later very fast she started rushing us so we just gave random hamburger orders and pancake orders for the children she was rude, didn’t smile once, wright anything down, and rushed to get our order it took a little over 40min to get our food she didn’t come check on us at all we had empty cups and a napkin with chewed gum in it because there’s chewed gum stuck under the tables and one of my kids pulled it off when the food came it was greasy and oily and was a huge mess the meat was not seasoned it tasted like someone cooked a simple hamburger and dipped it into cooking oil and served it like that the condiments were empty overall terrible experience rude staff except the short female she was very friendly and helpful wish I could give less stars price was way to much for the service and quality of food also I had to track servers down to get a check and then track them down to cash out while people were just leaving because they got tired of waiting at the register

Came in at 12:55am and they closed at 2:00am. Stood there for 20 minutes and nobody came to the front to check us in or even said hi. I watched as they served other tables and purposely tried not to make eye contact with us. I get not wanting to make food close to closing time but over an hour before closing? I lived in kunia my whole life and I’ve never felt so disrespected.

Took advantage of their complimentary birthday Everyday Value Slam (pancakes, choice of breakfast meat, and eggs) and also ordered some other breakfast goodies. Service was quick and honest. Chicken fried steak was on the tough side, but still tasty. Pancakes and French toast ono as well.

We were early morning so not busy. Had to wait to be seated bc hostess was in back talking. Had to ask for more coffee right away. Server was busy cutting fruit so had to approach her in back to ask to place our order. Eggs were over easy but served runny and cold. Hashbrowns also cold. Finally got coffee and soda refill but only after server was done talking and cutting fruit. Again, only second table. Bill for 4 ppl was over $100. -do better Dennys.
