I know why this is good food. First visit here was four years ago and had one of the best shrimp dishes I have ever eaten, and the wife a fabulous cut of beef steak that was delicious. This trip was no different, the salmon dish was excellent, top notch, I know because I grill salmon twice a week and have developed a good flavor, and this is excellent. The steak tips asparagus and taters were excellent. The reason this place is great is the menu. They do not offer a choice of 25 entrees, they have a few and do them well with fresh ingredients and seasoning. One of my favorite places. I will be back and recommed highly.

We went to the rail yard for dinner and it was great! Really nice set up and decorated very well. The food and the drinks are amazing along with the dessert. Our waitress was very pleasant and knew the menu very well. Will definitely come back if we’re down this way again.

The Food was great. We started with the Pretzel Board, which was absolutely the Best Pretzel I’ve ever eaten. And loved the Grain Mustard. Then we had the Grilled Ribeye. Awesome flavor, and cooked to perfection. We were a little disappointed they were out of Garlic Mashed Potatoes, but loved the seasoning on the fries! The waitstaff was friendly, and helpful. Loved the smiles. if this was near my hometown, we would certainly go back, often! D-Ray

This place was quiet the afternoon we went. I am guessing it looks even more appealing in the evening when the lighting gives it that hidden location appeal. The appetizers were both set up and looked great. The pretzel was fresh baked and delicious. The Cajun crab cheesecake lacked the punch I expected from the Cajun, almost like they forgot the seasoning. The sandwich we ordered was hot , unfortunately the chips were stale and unappealing. I was honestly disappointed as this was a location we traveled over 45 minutes to try specifically. Maybe it’s because it was the afternoon , I don’t know. The service was great, we were asked every 10 minutes if we needed anything. The truth is, the place looks amazing and the staff is kind, just wish the food held up to as it was described in the menu.

The RailYard is a one of a kind hole in the wall, Mom “n” Pop kinda places that has 5 Star food. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food is. I love love love the atmosphere. The only negative is that it was cold inside (glad i had my jacket) and the couple beside me said it is always cold. Maybe it’s by design since it’s a small place and the food is very good . Got to get people to leave somehow. I had The Wharf and it was fantastic! I will definitely go again when in the area.

Really solid stop here. The food was good not amazing but absolutely worth coming back here. Super friendly atmosphere and great service. As an FYI limited vegetarian choices but enough to get a decent meal.

Stopped in for dinner during a business trip. Charcuterie Tray was a great starter. Colleagues really enjoyed the burgers. I had the pork chop with Brussel sprouts. All in all a great place with good service and atmosphere.

I had a nice time and dinner at the Railyard. Service was quick and nice. Cool atmosphere. Great craft beer selection.
We got the cheese fritters as a starter. They were very good. Nice cheesy flavor. For dinner I got the Baja Burger and Ahi Tuna steak as the meat. The Ahi Tuna was cooked perfectly. Fries were good. Everything was very good. Definitely worth it if you find yourself over in Decatur.

Asked to talk with manager and she was dismissive about my concerns. Blamed it on price of meat. We paid for that increase in price but received a third of the portion. Now it makes sense why it was almost empty at noon. The price of meat is a poor excuse because I make boards at home and we have them at other places. Wow! How this place has changed from my original review. We left hungry and spent double the amount this time and won’t be back. Large and shareable board last time with lots of cheese and different types of crackers. This time the board was next to nothing and the tacos were tiny. So disappointed and we loved this restaurant.
From a year ago: Absolutely amazing meal and service! We had the charcuterie board to start and it was so delicious. For our meals, we had The Philly and The Southerner. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. Huge portions! Our server, Sergio, was attentive without being overbearing and gave great recommendations. We wish we lived closer so we could dine here more often!
