Simply amazing!
Initially, I expected the establishment to have customer seating but I was later told that they only provided take-out. Despite this, the hostess helped us choose a yummy plate for my daughter and I to share even though we came 20 minutes before closing. She was super sweet and threw in an extra piece of cornbread and a third side for us.
We ordered the fried Perch, collard greens, and candied yams. We got a side of green beans for free out of the goodness of the hostess’s heart.
The food exceeded out expectations. The collard greens tasted very fresh and the perch was meaty and flavorful. Would love to try again if given the opportunity!
It is worthy to note that my daughter and I are originally from Washington DC and are visiting Charlotte NC for a couple of days.

This was my first time trying Londa’s and it definitely won’t be my last! I ordered the beef rib and it was absolutely delicious — tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I also tried the greens, mac & cheese, yams, cornbread, a chicken thigh, and the sweet potato cobbler. Every single bite tasted homemade and seasoned with love. I can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu!

I was recommended years ago for being great soul food restaurant . I tried others in close proximity to my home. Had I known her food taste was that satiating to my tast palate, I would have sought out Londa’s years ago.

We thought the food was great, especially the fried chicken. The fried chicken was seasoned very well, it was flavorful and juicy. Comfortable, clean atmosphere. All of the staff was extremely friendly, attentive and warm. My only complaints are that there are no signs with prices posted, and the cake wasn’t very moist and I prefer more icing. Overall, I would definitely recommend a meal here.

This was my first time trying Londa’s and I’m not sure if I’ll be back. I ordered a veggie plate of cabbage, Mac and cheese and potato salad. The size of the portions were small considering there was no meat. The cabbage was slightly bland the Mac and cheese could use more cheese and less salt and the potato salad was too salty to eat and gave more mashed potato consistency than potato salad. The beef ribs were okay Lima beans had a little too much salt and candied yams were too sweet.

I must fully note that the service at Londa’s Place is of a standard I believe a lot of places are missing! The staff is warm, kind and on top of your needs while you are in their comfort!
The food is amazing. I’ve tried quite a few menu options and have yet to be disappointed. The flavors are mouth watering, the meats are always juicy and the portions are healthy!
The deserts are delicious! And the sweet tea/lemonade mix is the best I’ve had.

Today was my first visit and to say I was impressed is an understatement. We were pleasantly greeted as soon as we walked in and the servers were very friendly, helpful, and really patient. I was so overwhelmed when ordering because I wanted EVERYTHING!!! My beef ribs were so tender! The fried chicken wings…perfection. The cabbage was a little on the sweet side, but I just dipped each bite into my mashed potatoes and problem solved. The cornbread was melt in your mouth delicious. That peach cobbler though…I can tell you without a doubt that someone prayed really hard over this thing because it was as absolutely HEAVENLY! I will definitely be back soon.

The thought of talking my dad to a cafeteria style restaurant for Father’s Day was a mental adjustment. His request. Right from the start the staff was friendly and offered service. It was mentioned that the menu was posted on the wall. Once you see the banana pudding, caramel cake, peach cobbler and so much more, who is looking at the wall. The collard greens, black eyed peas, candied yams, macaroni and cheese, oxtails, fried chicken, fried fish to order, ribs, pig feet, string beans, corn bread, corn bread dressing, turkey legs, wings, need I go on. It tastes like you remember the best you’ve eaten. I was so surprised that the greens were not salty and the peach cobbler was perfect, not too anything but good. The owner/ manager was diligent in making sure her guests were happy. The prices are great too. Better get there quick before they go up. Great staff. We all had a fun time.

This time I had my favorite with vegetable sides. I noticed one thing in common on the plates of others in our party. The delicious macaroni and cheese. Some ordered fish to order ( not available Sunday due to crowds). Other orders were oxtails ( good southern style), crispy fried chicken wings, pork chops (comes w/ two), meat loaf, fried chicken and more. I photographed the meat loaf. I know, she has two starches and has already taken a few bites out of the meat loaf. Must try. Your wallet won’t be sorry either.
