We visited Verace Italian Restaurant for a special occasion, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The atmosphere is luxury-casual—elegant yet relaxed —making it perfect for groups and celebrations. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and genuine, and the servers were excellent, kind, and attentive, making us feel truly taken care of.

The focaccia with high-quality olive oil and balsamic was a great start. The wood-fired Pizza Regina was perfect, and the seafood tagliatelle, along with the steamed fish, were outstanding, beautifully cooked, crunchy yet tender, served with vegetables and garnished with pickled onion and garlic. The strawberry citrus drinks were refreshing .

The dessert was unforgettable: the hazelnut ice cream was wow, with an amazing aftertaste, and the crème brûlée was also perfect. We paid around $200 on the pricier side, but it was absolutely worth it for the food, service, and overall experience. Highly recommended for special occasions and group dining.

Loved everything about the restaurant. Went there yesterday to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday and we were so glad we chose Versace. Our server Grant realized we were celebrating a special milestone birthday and without even mentioning he brought a complimentary blue cheese ice cream and a cute single candle. Best evening, money well spent!

We were craving Italian food and came across Verace Italian Restaurant in the heart of Downtown Oakville. From the moment we walked in, our server Grant made us feel truly welcome. He patiently walked us through the menu and helped us choose great options based on what we were craving.
We started with wine and beer, paired with complimentary bread, before sharing a pasta and pizza. Everything from the food and drinks to the dessert was absolutely delicious. The ambience was relaxing, the restaurant was clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
We definitely recommend Verace and look forward to coming back to try more dishes!
10/10 congratulations!

This was our first stop as we arrived in Oakville (also for the first time). We were warmly greated by an extremely polite and welcoming hostess, then seated in the cozy tables next to the kitchen. The ambiance was great, the staff was phenomenal, and the food was perfect. We had the Mushroom Arancini to start, which was mind blowing (the tomato sauce was perfectly flavored and the arancini crust and filling were impeccable), then we had an order of the Papardelli Funghi & Tartuffo and the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina. Mushrooms on the Papardelli were super fresh, I could eat them off a bowl. And the Gnocchi was super fluffy. This was the perfect start to our trip. Also the espressos were marvelous to close everything off.

Ps: a few days later we ordered their pizzas to eat at our hotel. Margerita and Quattro Formaggi. Also extremely well made neapolitan pizzas!!

My Fiancé and I decided to have our engagement party with Verace after having a lovely dinner there one day. The service did not disappoint!! If you’re thinking of hosting a large scale event, this is the place to do it. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Our guests enjoyed every bite – especially the charcuterie board!! Michele and his team were very responsive in the months leading up to the event, which created to an easy and smooth evening. Thank you!!!

As soon as we walked in, we were told by the hostess we have 2 hrs. No big deal I guess.
The atmosphere was good. Vibrant, happening. Enjoyable.
Our server was unfriendly and honestly looked like he didn’t wanna be there. I’m not sensitive to that kind of thing, but he was honestly not warm and welcoming. Not rude, just looked like he didn’t care at all.
He said someone else would take care of us, which I welcomed. It took about 15 minutes for the other server to come over. And it was the exact same thing. No smile, not feeling welcomed.
The main course came within 8 min. Really fast. It was cold within 5 minutes. That screams microwave.
Margarita drink was good. Old Fashioned was definitely not good. It was actually quite bad.
It was our anniversary dinner. Came because of some great reviews.
Left disappointed. We dropped $200 and, honestly, I felt
The front door hostess wished us a good night without looking up.
I was honestly quite disappointed.

Appetizers
We started with the mussels for our antipasti, and they were cooked to perfection. Fresh, full bodied, and flavorful. We requested them “spicy” though they could’ve used just a bit more heat. The portion size was impressively generous for the price; easily shareable among four people, though recommended for two.

The house-made bread was the perfect companion, soaking up every drop of the San Marzano tomato sauce. You can really taste the quality in their olive oil and balsamic vinegar, clearly sourced with care.

Mains
The Ravioli Funghi was a standout; rich, creamy, and comforting. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, and adding their house chili oil gives the dish a beautiful kick. It’s the kind of meal that feels like a warm hug.

The Iberico Pork Chop was simply phenomenal. Tender, juicy, and beautifully balanced with just the right amount of fat. The rosemary jus tied everything together seamlessly. Served with green beans and crispy-yet-soft potatoes that were downright addictive. The only downside? We wished there was more, the portion size left us wanting just another bite.

Dessert
We finished the night with a complimentary scoop of gelato. Nothing special here but it was a kind gesture as we were celebrating a birthday.

️ Service
Service was wonderful, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. The staff managed to fit in our last-minute larger reservation without a hitch and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal.

✨ Ambience
The place was buzzing, even on a weekday night. The atmosphere is dark, lively, and modern, making it perfect for both casual and special dinners. The dining space is on the smaller end and seating can be limited. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, but street parking is usually free during dinner time.

⭐ Overall Rating: (4.5/5)
An outstanding dining experience with fresh, high-quality ingredients and dishes that deliver comfort. Between the impeccable service and cozy yet lively setting, it’s easy to see why this spot is always packed.

Came here for date night. Food and drinks were exceptional truly beyond my expectations! Would come back only for the food! However, expect minimal to zero service. No one to explain the menu or clear the tables. It took forever to get a coffee and drinks after we were finished, eventually someone else came. It truly felt like the server was doing us a favour. The restaurant itself is nice but definitely needs an upgrade especially in the side room.

For the second year in a row, I’ve been organizing my clients appreciation event in Verace, and if I could give them 10 stars, I would! The stuff is extremely friendly, polite and makes you feel like you are at their home. Food was delicious and in abundance. My clients loved and kept complimenting the food. Michele, the manager made sure I had everything ready ahead of time, the room was setup so elegantly and I couldn’t find anything wrong, even if I wanted to. This restaurant is now part of my business tradition, to make my events, and meet with my clients and friends there. I appreciate everything they do for us, as customers. Its a definitely must visit place in downtown Oakville.!

Great Italian restaurant with a large patio. Ordered the Zuppa di Cozze (mussels in a tomato sauce) $28. They were good…enough for 4 or more people. We shared the Caesar salad $19 which was delicious with homemade croutons and bacon. Then we had the spinach gnocchi with a creamy Gorgonzola cheese sauce and walnuts $26. Omg. It was so amazing. The best we have ever had. We also shared the Diavola wood fired pizza $25. It had spicy salami, fior latte cheese and chili. Very spicy but quite good. To top off my birthday celebration we had the most delicious creme brulee and tiramisu desserts with cappuccino and espresso coffees. Service was GREAT as well as the ambience. We have been here a few times over the years and have never been disappointed.
