Service can be hit or miss at the tables, hut the food is great for all I have had especially on steak nights. Bar service is always faster and more attentive. Cool bartenders too.

For context, I visit this restaurant three or more times per week during peak crawfish season.

Today, I spent $60 on 5 lbs of crawfish, and nearly half of my order was not edible. While the crawfish themselves were a good size, the meat inside was very small, soft, and had a fishy taste, making much of it inedible. I believe this may be related to what is commonly referred to as molting, though I am not an expert.

When I showed Marissa, the manager, the large number of crawfish I was unable to eat, she referenced a message printed on the non-crawfish menu stating that the restaurant does not refund or remake crawfish or seafood. Based on that policy, no resolution was offered.

I am extremely disappointed, especially because this has been my favorite spot for years. I understand seasonal variability, but when a significant portion of a paid-for order cannot be eaten, I believe some level of accountability or resolution should be offered, even in December.

Food was good. However, im not sure they are familiar with the word ‘Service’ . That’s based on my interaction with a manager. She single handedly earned 1 star.

We just left The Flying Pug. It is March 3, 2026 at 2:30 pm arrived right at 1. We ordered 5 pounds of crawfish with an order of potatoes and sausage, which is extra cost. $69 with a $10 tip. The sauce was not as good as last year. Too much citrus flavor. It was supposed be 2 potatoes and 4 pcs of sausage. We got 2 small halves of potatoes and 2 itty bitty thin slices of sausage. This was an extra cost. Did not complain because we didn’t see the potatoes and sausage till the end. It was under the crawfish. I asked for unsweetened ice tea with the cup full of ice. The cup barely had ice in it. She left the table before I could get it redone. The waitress never came back to the table until it was time to leave. Another finally came to us right after we finished and asked if we needed anything when we were finished and that is when I did get a refill. Our waitress did check on other tables around us but we could not get her attention. The service was bad and the food was bad. It is a shame because we drove over 45 minutes just to go there to have bad food and service. Why didn’t we say something about the quantity of the food……… We tried but didn’t get her attention and we had to leave. Will NOT be going back! And please clean the pile of dust from on top of the TV’S, gosh!

Flying Pug Sports Bar absolutely delivers. The crawfish are AMAZING — perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The blackened shrimp are packed with flavor and totally crave-worthy. And let’s talk about the drinks… top-notch every single time

Great vibes, great food, and an all-around solid spot whether you’re there to watch a game or just hang out. Definitely a go-to and highly recommended!

I had good experience everytime I was here and its been three time so far. We were here for superbowl, which was packed, and two other time to watch UFC fights. Quite a unique vibe with a great menu. Never got to try the seafood options but the wings were great.
We also ordered shroom and pub burger where both were quite good. Be advised that the shroom burger comes with sourdough bread!
Overall great experience and most certainly a great sport bar!

Came for their crawfish 5Ib for $40 special but the crawfish was disappointing and flavorless, also not enough seasoning ( mixed flavor) The frozen margaritas are slushy consistency not creamy like a frozen marg should be so I wouldn’t recommend 0/0. Won’t be coming back there’s much better options in the area, wolfies on the other side of 45 was definitely better. they also played nothing but morgan wallen nonnnn stop

One of my favorite local spots for a cold drink and bar bites. Wings are amazing, appetizers are fantastic, my favorite is the spicy garlic edamame. Music bingo on Wednesday is super fun with some friends. The only complaint is the service can fall short sometimes.

As I’ve frequented the establishment i’ve noticed the same handful of management, with a smaller revolving door of wait staff. Sometimes I’ll see people I recognize from the wait/bar staff sitting at the bar and drinking, presumably when they’re off. Nothing bad about it, but as a kitchen manager myself it does appear a bit strange to be drinking next to the guy who took my order a few days ago. The staff from what i’ve seen is mostly younger people, so I guess it makes sense.

Good, quality food, fun events, not sure about how the staff is managed though.
