First time going. Went in around 10am (closes at 2:30pm). Service was slightly busy when I arrived & the wait time for the food was timely.
Natural lighting & Spacious dining area.
What I had:
✨Carrot cake & Pecan (& raisins) Pancakes: Wholegrain, big and shareable, Perfectly crispy and fluffy. The warm syrup they serve is just what it was missing though great alone.
✨Scrambles Eggs with house blend Cheese: Really good and perfectly cheesy Blend Cheese option is Cheddar & mozzarella. $4 for 2 eggs & $1.40 to add cheese is my only discrepancy.
✨Brunch Cocktail: Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk (RumHaven Coconut Rum, cold brew coffee, oat milk and agave nectar.) *chefs kiss* 2 servings and Very Tasty combo with breakfast food.
Between two people: 2 pancakes, 1 brunch cocktail & 4 scrambled eggs with cheese = $34
Definitely going back.
If it’s your first time coming, I would 100% recommend asking for Darbi. Definitely coming back.
During our meal, my granddaughter found a hair in her bowl of fruit. We informed Darbi, and she handled it professionally by quickly replacing it with a fresh, larger bowl of fruit. We appreciated how promptly and kindly she handled the situation.
A few minutes later, a woman who worked there stopped by our table and asked if everything was okay, but she did not introduce herself or identify her role. My husband nodded yes at the time because the fruit had already been replaced and we assumed the issue had been communicated.
When the bill arrived, I asked Darbi if she had informed the manager about the hair in the fruit. She said yes. I then mentioned that no manager had come by to address the issue. Darbi then walked toward the same woman who had previously stopped at our table, and that is how we realized she was the manager. She returned to the table and stated that this was the first time she was hearing about the issue because we had not mentioned it when she previously asked if everything was okay.
I explained that once management becomes aware of a concern like this, it should be acknowledged directly. After we expressed our concerns, she offered a $5 off coupon. However, receiving compensation was not our intention. We simply felt the situation should have been acknowledged and addressed by management.
Finding hair in food is unpleasant, and a brief apology or follow-up from management would have gone a long way. I also felt it was unprofessional that the employee who initially approached our table never introduced herself or identified that she was the manager.
Darbi handled the situation well and was courteous throughout our visit, but the lack of communication and acknowledgment from management left us disappointed. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and management response in situations like this so future guests feel properly acknowledged and cared for.
I can’t help but say, I love their menu, their staff is really friendly and extremely knowledgeable. in addition, the restaurant itself has a very good vibe when you first walk in. it’s a beehive that actually has organization skills. I for one I enjoyed their food, I almost don’t want to share what I had because I want you to experience it for yourself, but I be remiss if I don’t tell you what I had. I gorge myself on on the sausage patties that are made of turkey I believe. very well seasoned, extremely mild and really sweet. the bacon with whatever sugary sweetness. I forgot the name of it, but it’s almost like candied bacon and the pancakes granola and bananas, what a weird combination that actually works, I would have to say I literally enjoyed every bit of my meal. yes, it is family friendly, yes it is cool, yes, it is different, and it is not your typical Denny’s, or Kiki’s, or IHOP. clearly they are trying to do something healthier and different. I may hit the mark really well. I can’t speak highly enough of them, this is one of my very favorite restaurants for brunch or breakfast, or even lunch really. but fire be aware, it can be a bit pricey but overall worth every penny. do I recommend it to you or your family? absolutely! without a shadow of a doubt, you need to experience it
