Birthday lunch. Amazing service. Active restaurant but not busy. Quiet enough to comfortably enjoy our meal without feeling crowded. Food service, timing, and taste were all on point. Im not a seafood person and go to blue oyster once a year for a friends birthday so she can order oysters by the half dozen. Always fresh. Always perfect taste. Always hit the spot. Happy hour on a Saturday is so nice and helps the budget. Quality food at a good price, and HH helps too! Enough food in non seafood category to stuff me. I did try the seafood and its always so fresh and not fishy, I can eat it and enjoy samplings of it. Extensive beverage menu, including mocktails for a very nice touch. So full we were not able to indulge the birthday dessert, pur server graciously swapped it for a round of champagne for the table. TRISTAN was a great server.

Was in the area and decided to stop in. Service was great. Fast came out quick and exactly as ordered. Burger Sliders were great value and the New England Style Lobster Roll was delicious! Will definitely stop in again to try other dishes.

I am extremely picky about my seafood in Colorado, especially coming from the east coast. This was by far the freshest and most delicious seafood I’ve ever had in the state, and I’ve tried a lot of places. The clams on a half shell were so fresh, salty and plump, I will be craving them whenever I want a fresh treat. The mussels special with Calabrian chilis were probably the best mussels I’ve ever had. Not to mention, for the quality of the food, my pocket isn’t begging for help. I will be recommending this place to everyone, and will be a frequent flyer.

I’ve been going to Blue Oyster Bar since it opened. Happy Hour on Monday is my favorite. You can tell I love oysters. I clean, paint, jewel and seal oyster shells for fun. Great selection of oysters. Calamari appetizer and clam chowder are fantastic. Staff are great.

Went here for Denver restaurant week and ordered from the fixed menu. We had a reservation Fri evening but they did not have a table for us and we waited 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated, just standing next to the host table (no waiting seating area). They did bring us glasses of champagne as an apology while we waited which was nice. Overall the food was pretty good, the clam chowder was excellent. The smoked trout dip wasn’t the most flavorful but the chips were good. I ordered the lobster roll and the bun was unfortunately pretty stale, but the lobster itself was tasty. My husband ordered the sea bass and it was very good, our friend also got the surf and turf filet mignon dish and was happy with it. Would come back to try again sometime, maybe it was more crowded than usual for Denver restaurant week.

Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood continues to impress every time I visit. The seafood is consistently fresh, and the oysters are some of the best around. Everything we ordered was well prepared and full of flavor, from appetizers to entrées. The menu offers a great variety, whether you’re in the mood for classic seafood dishes or something a little more elevated.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon. Good vibes and staff was on point. Had a dozen oysters which our server chose at our request . Then had several appetizers. Oysters were solid very good accoutrement. The only miss was the octopus , portioning of potato cake and chorizo overpowered the Octopus and made the dish too heavy . Would love to go back for enetrees and the “Sunday Funday” HH pricing was awesome.

First of all huge shout out to NICK!!! He has made me feel like an old friend since day one. He is thoughtful, makes a point to remembers favorite items all preferences and requests. Having service like his is the reason why you pay to go out to dinner, it’s about the experience and he is always sure to deliver. Also to note the food is also absolute perfection. I grew up
In south Florida and can be a bit particular about seafood but they are so spot one, huge shout out to the extraordinary kitchen staff there for the care that goes into every dish they send out. Not once have we had anything less than perfect. We always order oysters which are of course fresh and delicious but tonight we also ordered shashito peppers which I love as well as the sesame poke salad 10/10 and the Spanish grilled octopus with chorizo 12/10 which my husband is completely obsessed with and of course the full lobster.
If you are craving that welcoming beach front vibe and fabulous seafood, you found the place.

Great food and even better service, Nick! We come here weekly when lever possible. Clam chowder is to die for and my kid loves the clam pasta… icing on the cake… oysters on Friday’s and Saturday’s from 9pm is such a good deal!
