The order took about 15 minutes to complete. A little long, but the good came out for and fresh! Chicken was cooked just right, and the sauces were great. My favorite sauce was the honey mustard, but the other sauce was good too. The lady working in front was nice. Their slaw was awesome and the fries tasted freshly cut. I would come back next time I’m in town.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I tried roaming rooster for the first time and the salad is good. I definitely want to come back to try their sandwiches and tenders.
But I wanted to recognize an employee. The cashier who helped me today absolutely deserves a review. I think his name is Octavius (from the receipt, I forgot to ask his name). He was a young gentleman with red locs, a heart of gold and a bright future.
He was friendly, upbeat, and kind from the second I walked inside. He took my order quickly, got everything right and somehow made a fast food stop feel like stopping by family’s house instead of just a transaction. He also did the same with several customers who came in and some seemed to be regulars who recognize him and love having him as the cashier. He
He was extremely positive on a dreary cold day and had a room of complete strangers all bantering. You can tell he actually cares about doing a good job, and connecting with people. That kind of energy makes a huge difference. He was able to get folk’s orders out while having good conversation and made everyone feel welcome to be there. This place is lucky to have him.

Hands down the best Chicken Sandwich place in DC. They have a wide variety of spice levels, ranging from not spicy at all to so spicy that you start tearing up. We got the Nashville Hot Chicken and Honey Butter Fried Chicken Sandwich. The chicken isn’t dry on the inside and had plenty of flavor. They also have a choice between two home made dipping sauces that were very flavorful. Also don’t forget to get their home made fries, fried to perfection.

The sandwich was amazing. Was in NE for a community event and finished around lunch time so wanted to stop here. Parking spaces available. We walked in with no line. I ordered the honey butter chicken sandwich medium, fries, and oreo shake. Another order was the wings and fries. Food took maybe 15 minutes. We found out one order of fries could’ve feed two of us. I would be open to trying the Buffalo and club. I think it’s well worth the visit.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but this place is entirely overhyped. My entire meal was drenched in oil, one sandwich is $10, and the quality of food was absurd. Kind staff, but not worth the money.

My colleagues had been raving about the infamous Honey Butter sandwich at Roaming Rooster, so that had definitely built up the anticipation in my mind. Overall I would say that it tasted good – but my sandwich was much much oiler than the others made in the same order.
As it was a chicken spot, I also tried the whole chicken wings; and unfortunately I found them to be massively over seasoned and I could barely finish one.
The fries were also not so much to my liking. The majority of them were super short, and seemed more like the “ends” of the fries than a whole one.
It could have been that it was an off day, or maybe something with my particular order. There was a long queue of people grabbing lunch – so clearly there’s something about this place that many many people love! So, don’t necessarily take my word for it… You could have a different experience!!

Please be careful when purchasing a sandwich coleslaw is packed on that the bread is very soggy. Nashville sandwich barbecue sauce is soaked on the bread . I live to far to bring back but I won’t visit this establishment again.

Comparing to the other fried chicken sandwich shops, this one is on the mild side on spicy level. Ordered the honey butter and OG, with one order of fries to share and a fountain drink. The sandwiches are not that spicy, so order maybe a spice level higher than you think you need. I ordered one in medium, which barely had any heat, and other one in hot, which is only mildly spicy. The food got four stars from me. The atmosphere left much to be desired. I would recommend take out. Plenty of parking, and took under 10 mins to receive the food (they are made to order, so budget some extra time, especially if you are in a hurry). By the way, the only sides they had was fries.

This was my first time visiting a Roaming Rooster Bladensburg. This was a great suggestion from one of my friends. We got there at a good time about 11:45, the restaurant had a couple of people but the cashier was professional, efficient and took orders quickly. I decided on the buffalo chicken sandwich medium with coleslaw. This was an excellent decision and the price was reasonable. The chicken was made to order. I received my food hot and seasoned well. Medium was just enough kick/heat so I could enjoy my sandwich. The coleslaw is out of this world yummy. It’s not made with mayo but I think a vinaigrette. Whatever it is, it was absolutely delicious. If you’re like me trying to get summer fine having a healthier option instead of french fries is a delightful choice. All in all I definitely will suggest if you are in the area give this location your business. Come. Eat. Enjoy!
