We chose to have lunch here on a late Saturday morning. The place is much bigger than I expected inside!! Our table consisted of several meals. The California chicken pita sandwich was reported to be very good, and I thought the plate looked beautiful when it came out. Although the chicken salad croissant was pretty similar to all chicken salad, I really liked the way the bread was cooked; it had a nice, crunchy edge to it and the warm fluffiness in the middle. The pork tenderloin was also nothing too special, but I will say that there were no leftovers on that plate!! I also heard that the gyro platter was delicious and no complaints there! I like the fries with the crispy batter cooked to them. Most of the meals came with soup. Pictured is the chicken noodle, but we also had the creamy chicken and rice. Served with warm table bread and butter, we all enjoyed our soup. All in all, I think we all took pleasure in our experience here. Our server was very nice and accommodating. I am looking forward to coming back and trying their breakfast items on my next trip!!

This is a perfectly acceptable and serviceable restaurant. It’s very touching with the owners of dedicated the establishment to their son, who died tragically and far too young. By all accounts and our recollection George was a very nice guy. Honestly, some of the items were better than others but we can especially recommend the soup and the breakfast. Portion sizes were very generous and service was very helpful

Food is consistent and flavorful. Love that they have cream of chicken soup available EVERYDAY! Most restaurants this is a Sunday soup, not family house! Add in the great sandwiches they offer and its a great lunch spot. Don’t do dinner out often so can’t comment on their dinner service as I go there often for lunch. Recommended and beats alot of the other mom & pop shops in town!

George’s family restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way!
The creamy rice soup was a delightful surprise, reminiscent of childhood memories. The warm house bread was heavenly.
We enjoyed the pepper jack cheeseburger and Reuben sandwich, both of which were delicious.
Our waitress, Tiffany, was excellent, attentive and ensured our drinks were always full.
The atmosphere was vibrant and peaceful, even being surrounded by a large family party nearby.
Even my teenager was impressed with their pepper jack cheeseburger and almost got up to do the yummy food dance!
We’ll definitely be back!

Soup, soup, and soup! I always get their home made soup and home made bread. I cannot emphasize enough for you to try their chicken noodle, their cream of chicken and rice, or whatever they have on speical. It has a classic American family restraunt atmosphere and is reasonably priced. Their staff is always polite and friendly.

Nice local family restaurant that has been around for many years. Many choices on the menu ……all day breakfast , lunch or dinner.
Place is older , clean, nice atmosphere, and well managed. Staff are pleasant and professional. Reasonable prices and good food . Ingredients fresh. Portions generous. My favorite meal is the breakfast skillet. Omelets are also delicious. So far, I have enjoyed going and have not had any issues with the food or service.

I ordered supper for my husband & myself – soup & a sandwich & fries. I was not asked for my name & I asked for the total and asked if we could pay with cash to which she side sure! My husband waited 15 mins then went to pick it up. When he got there, he was asked for the name on the order & what was in the order. They said it wasn’t ready yet – and was then asked 2 more times what the order was. It was very apparent that they didn’t prepare the meal as it hadn’t been paid for, but I was not asked for payment. At this point, my husband told them to stuff our order & left. So – if you are going to order from Family House, make sure you pay for it, before you get it, or you’ll be waiting there until they prepare your order! When I said we wouldn’t order from them again, the guy didn’t seem to care.

I was looking for a Family restaurant that had a good selection to choose from. Not being from the area someone recommended Family House, I also checked the reviews. The staff was very friendly & made some favorite suggestions. Went with the 1/2 slab of ribs and the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. Both were incredible. The Cream of chicken rice soup was so good. We left so full had to take home leftovers. I would not hesitate to try them. We will be back next time we are in the area. Such a great experience.
