The atmosphere and service was definitely better than the food or at least what I had. My daughter enjoyed this pizza. My husband enjoyed his bbq ribs with rice. Mine on the the other had was not to my liking, so no picture needed. I ordered the flank steak medium well. The steak came out medium rare. The waiter took it back only for the steak to look as though nothing had been done. Only tomato sauce thrown on top to cover the redness. We paid the bill anyways. The atmosphere and people were enjoyable, just not the food.

Where do I even begin? This place is exceptional. The atmosphere is vibrant, the service is consistently impressive, and the food is always on point. The rooftop view is the perfect backdrop for happy hour, especially with a larger group.

Huge shoutout to the team behind the bar — Sam, Dillion, and Jacob — who always bring great energy, craft top‑notch drinks, and keep the experience fun. And Peter deserves recognition as well; he runs the place with professionalism and warmth, making every visit feel welcomed and well taken care of.

Friday and Saturday nights feature a DJ and entertainment that elevate the whole experience without overpowering it. Whether you’re here for dinner or just drinks with friends, it’s the perfect touch.

Easily a five‑star spot and one of my favorites in town.

Visited Dayton Ohio for my first time and was looking for a nice upscale restaurant we found (The Foundry). The food was amazing. Drinks were awesome, and the service was impeccable. Jake our server was courteous and very helpful on our food selection. Give this man a raise!

Absolutely loved the experience here! The atmosphere is awesome, especially with the stunning views from the rooftop. I ordered the steak, and it was incredible—I really appreciated the unique touch of spice that took the flavor to the next level. The presentation was great, too (loved the red glassware). Highly recommend for a great night out!

We were so excited to try this place and were unfortunately very disappointed. We had a reservation and had to wait 10 minutes for them to seat us when they weren’t busy. Ok fine. We sat down and the table next to us was in a heated altercation with the waitress demanding the manager, that should have been the first sign to leave. We ordered beers and a cheese pizza. It took 10+ minutes for our beers, ok fine. Finally after about 35 minutes, the waitress came out and asked if we’d ordered the margarita pizza (the same waitress we ordered the pizza with). We said yes. About 15 minutes later she came over and apologized saying she was flustered about the argument at the other table and forgot to put our order in. Again, ok fine. Finally the pizza came out and the crust was burned. We waited almost an hour for a burned cheese pizza. The burned pizza isn’t the waitress’ fault, but the whole experience was awful. The view was cool and our draft beers from Yellow Springs Brewery were great, but overall would not recommend.

Our server was amazing, she was very friendly but there was definitely a speed issue. For 4 people we spent almost 3 hours at the restaurant, and because what I can only assume is understaffing. We only saw our waitress maybe a total of 5 times the whole visit. It took a while for cocktails to come out, they were fine, and entrees took even longer. Apps weren’t long of a wait and the whipped goat cheese was delicious, I would for sure get that again. Entrees were okay- the 24hour chicken was very moist, definitely a smaller portion, and the risotto was closer to a rice and tasted like the veggies were frozen. The pizzas looked and smelled incredible and I wish I had gotten that instead. Not sure if it was an off night, but I’m not sure I would come back. Prices were definitely high for quality of food and portion size. The saving grace really was the server- although she was clearly over-sat in her section and we didn’t see her much, but she was very friendly and pleasant each time we did

My friends and I visited The Foundry for Ladies’ Night, and overall, we had a pleasant evening. The rooftop views are definitely a highlight, and the restaurant itself was very clean. We initially requested outdoor seating, but even with shade, it was just too hot without a fan or breeze. The staff was incredibly accommodating and happily moved us inside, which we appreciated. However, it was still quite warm indoors, and even the servers seemed to be feeling the heat.

Our waitress was sweet and helpful, readily answering all our menu questions. We all ordered drinks – they were a strong pour! One friend ordered a frozen margarita that wasn’t actually frozen, and it was a bit odd that they acknowledged this but still served it. We all agreed the drinks were a bit strong and lacked the fun flavor – but if you like a strong pour, you’ll love it. She took it to be polite, but it definitely stood out.

For food, I had the seared scallops, which were delicious, my only minor note is I wished there was a bit more sauce. My absolute favorite dish was the grilled watermelon cold plate with walnuts, strawberry, avocado, and feta – it was truly excellent!

Overall, we agreed the food was decent per price point, and the service was great. If the temperature indoors had been more comfortable, the ambiance would have been even better. Despite the heat, we had a good time, and I’d consider returning, perhaps on a cooler evening.

When dinner was finally served, it was delicious. My meal took a long time, which disappointed me. Even the bartenders couldn’t figure out why it took so long. It’s possible that I arrived on the wrong day, but the vibe was really dull. The setup seemed cheap.

I have been here several times – a great Dayton dining spot. Service is always terrific and Kiki helped with advice on some new dishes. Great food and perfect meeting spot for friends and small groups. The bar specializes in a huge selection of bourbons (Weller!) and much more. Music highlights the energetic and positive vibe. Bring your friends!
