This morning, my wife tried calling several times to place a pickup order for later today, but the line was busy each time. I tried as well and got the same result. When I checked their website, I noticed that their posted Saturday hours are 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, so I assumed they simply weren’t open yet.
I waited until 3:10 PM to call back and place the order. At that point, I was told they were scheduling pickup orders for 8:00 PM. Since they had only been open for about 10 minutes, I asked for clarification. The employee explained that they begin taking phone orders at 8:00 AM, even though they don’t open their doors until 3:00 PM. There is no mention of this on their website—only their regular business hours are listed.
Because 8:00 PM was too late for us, I declined to place the order. I then called back to speak with a manager, as I wanted to share my concerns about the lack of communication. I made it clear that I wasn’t looking for special treatment, but simply wanted to point out what seems like a customer service issue—there’s currently no way for customers to know that orders begin being accepted at 8:00 AM.
I was connected with the owner and explained the situation. He did say they would consider adding this information to the website, but he didn’t seem particularly interested in the feedback. When I asked how customers are supposed to know about the early ordering policy, he responded that people typically find out when they encounter the same issue and are told “for future reference.”
