Take Back Roads
**Don’t be fooled by how the food looks in the pictures.**
Starting with the good – Our service was very good: friendly and fast. The strips of bacon were good and the coffee was fine.
Everything else was terrible. 0/5 stars bad.
The gravy and biscuits both tasted like cheap store-bought mix that had too much water in it. The omelette was mediocre and filled with cheap greasy meat. Even the “Bloody Mary” was just boring grocery store pre-mix kept in the fridge with the labels ripped off and splashed onto whatever the alcohol was.
This was one of the most disappointing breakfasts we’ve had in a while. And the place is … not clean. At all.
I originally was going to give two stars to account for the good service and tasty bacon, but I was misled into trying this place over other highly rated options because it had 4.5 stars ….

Homey atmosphere with attentive service. However, there were problems with our order, especially the chorizo scramble, as it was pretty much a “bare bones” scrambled eggs with chorizo, and nothing else. Cheese was $3.00 extra, which we asked for and then never received. Also requested were bell peppers and onion (not part of the scramble, so there was a feeling of having to build your own dish, rather than having it included. Pricey for a cafe, but such are the times. I ordered coffee and it was pretty watered down. Menu was sticky and uncomfortable to touch.
Fun decor on walls.

Stopped by for breakfast and expected a typical diner place. The price seemed a bit high, but once the food came out, I realized that the portion size is quite generous. And delicious! I ordered their breakfast(?) torta. It’s got eggs, ham, pickled peppers (jalapeños?), some sort of sauce, cheese, beautifully grilled red onions, all In between buttery bread. I wished I could’ve asked for more of the grilled onions. Hashbrowns were golden and crispy! It was a real treat.

Went here for the first time since it was near the hotel I was staying at. The restaurant is old country style with a number of butterflies on their walls. They have an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items. My wife and I shared both the waffle combo and stuffed french toast. The stuffed french toast was very good. The waffles were average. Good sized portions. My combo came with sausages, bacon and eggs. The bacon was crisp and the sausage was tender. The scrambled eggs had a hint of garlic which made the eggs taste very good. With sides, expect to pay around $20/person for lunch.
Service was excellent. Very friendly and made sure everything was to our liking. Ample parking that is free. Definitely worth a visit.

You definitely get a small town feel from this diner. The staff were very warm and friendly! The food came out very fast and quick. Burger paddies were handmade (great having the lettuce on bottom that created a good texture when you bit into the burger)!

This is in incredibly delicious cafe. An excellent menu. Great, friendly staff. The food is delicious. Don’t foget to look on the back for the speciality menu. You won’t be disappointed with stopping at this gem.

I went here today for the first time and there pesto burger is so good. I added cheese and bacon to it which made it even better. The French fries were absolutely yummy. Will have to come back again and try there biscuits and gravy. Great service for sure and everything came out at a timely matter. My boyfriend had eggs with steak and hash browns and looks amazing.

This diner is a nice spot to eat at. It’s a good diner on the north side of town. The eggs benedict and country potatoes are worth the price and the rest of the prices looked fair. The ambiance is a bit lacking, they have advertisements on the table top and the building could use some sprucing up. It was quite loud. All together though not a bad place for food.

Underwhelmed by the food. The traditional Denver Omelet is typically served with fillings inside / folded into the omelet. In this case the (oily) fillings were mostly piled alongside the actual omelet, with just a few stray items folded into the eggs.
The hash browns were superb, best iteration found in a while. Coffee was typical mediocre stuff – did the job but just ok.
Service was friendly and efficient – rapid coffee refills were most welcome!

Super welcoming and personable staff, without feeling forced. Definitely best food and service we had in Santa Rosa.
