Classic and regional dishes from southwest France in low-lit brasserie, popular with theatre crowd.

came here for a pre-theater prefix menu in this lovely little French bistro. the service was impeccable, although the menu left us wanting a bit more quality, I can see why prefix exists to make it affordable, but the quality just wasn’t quite there, had the steak with mashed along with the moule fries, buttery soup along with the pate, and everything tastes kind of store-bought but the service was so good that I have to give it a four

We had a wonderful dinner last night at The Garrick in Covent Garden. The food was absolutely full of flavour, beautifully prepared, and genuinely memorable. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming without ever feeling intrusive.
A special thank you to the french team for the lovely gesture for our daughter’s 19th birthday. The complimentary champagne, eau de vie and dessert made the evening feel truly special, and we really appreciated the personal touch, merci Sammi!
Great atmosphere, great food, great value. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

This was my second time here, and it was just as good as the first. Lovely atmosphere with a really authentic feel. The staff were polite, patient, and more than happy to answer any questions. It genuinely feels like you’ve stepped into France. The food was delicious and cooked properly, just as it should be. A great place to relax and enjoy a proper meal.

Decent French food but unfortunately was a bit of a miss for us – the mussels were sadly a bit chewy, though the salmon, the goat cheese salad, the fries and the olives were good. While the staff are really nice and friendly, we had a few misses that impacted our experience (gave us dirty plates between courses, had to be reminded a few times about drinks we’d ordered, struggled to set down dishes, etc). The ambiance is lovely, however the bathrooms are tiny and really difficult to navigate if multiple people go at once, which was unideal. All in all, a decent spot for a small group and it’s possible we caught them on a bad night, though wasn’t the best experience for us.

This is my second time at Le Garrick and once again it did not disappoint. I had the fillet steak which was the special cut on the day I went I ordered it medium rare and it was perfect, the meat melted in your mouth and the chips were not oily and the salad was fresh.
This is no doubly one of if not the best most consistent steak restaurant in London

Wonderful little French restaurant. Had the onion soup, Boeuf Bourguignon, and a basque cheesecake for dessert. All were excellent; I didn’t leave a crumb left of a single item I ordered. Place is on the smaller side, so it might be a good idea to reserve online, but I made one same-day about 2 hours prior and there was no trouble. Highly recommend.

Wonderful ambience and delicious food. Great value pre theatre menu – two courses for £22 – including the steak for no additional supplement. A classic for a reason!

My husband took me here for my birthday. Overall we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back. All of the food was lovely, home made and just tasty. The staff were so friendly and it seems they really enjoy their job. They are knowledgeable about the food, wine etc. The only thing which spoilt the atmosphere a little (and through no fault of the restaurant) was there was a large group of men who kept singing loudly and they were just not considerate of other guests. It just was not the vibe as the restaurant is cosy and romantic.

We’ve eaten here a few times and it’s always brilliant. The pre theatre menu is simple but so tasty and good value. Can’t recommend enough.
