Very enjoyable dinner. Our waitress was attentive and did an awesome job! The food was great and the portions were good too. Cannot wait to return in a few weeks when my other son bowls there. Cannot wait to try other food options as well next time so many good choices to choose from! Kids loved it and want to go back as well. A great mom and pop ❤️ which we always love versus a corporate restaurant! Hidden gem if you have not been I highly suggest it!

Garden Family is THE place to go for food that is filling and fabulous! The daily soups are sooo good. I have eaten here for all meals, but my favorite is lunch. I can eat and get back to work with no problem. Their food is always top notch. Did I mention that the service here is exceptional?? The crew does a wonderful job making you feel like family (except you don’t have to do the dishes!!). I would highly recommend coming here if you want great food without breaking the bank!

Stopped in Decatur for some antique hunting and read reviews on this restaurant, which was right up our alley.
The staff was friendly and welcoming when we walked in. They have tables or booths your choice, I always choose a booth as it’s easy on my back along with my service puppy.
My first question was, “Do you have hot chocolate as it was a cold & windy day?” They did yeah for me. Both of us were in the mood for breakfast, which they serve all day.
We ordered the Hungry Man meal, which has 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, 3 bacon slices, and 3 sausage links. The price was so reasonable and sounded good to boot. No disappointment here as the food came out quick and piping hot. The eggs were great(scrambled), the pancakes were large and were Buttermilk, bacon was tasty, and last the sausage links were delicious. Overall, the entire experience was really good, and I definitely recommend it along with well be back next time we are in town.

The waitresses were obviously stressed and vocal about it. I understand that they were very busy, but the sniping added unnecessary drama and detracted from a nice dining experience. We were seated by the small gaming area where two vocal, and likely inebriated, customers were taking advantage of the electronic gambling. I did not enjoy the foul language and will not go back to this restraunt because of the negative atmosphere.

My daughter had surgery today at DMH so we decided to go some place close to the hospital. Garden Family was super clean, the service was amazing, the food came out so fast and everything was delicious. Definitely glad we stopped! I can’t remember our waitresses name but she had long dark hair and was so good!

Spaghetti had a burnt taste, I sent it back. We had a good waitress. The owner and another waitress had nasty attitudes and were rude. I also had broccoli cheddar soup. It had a huge piece of broccoli in it that I had to cut up then didn’t have a chance to eat it before my entree came out. Which, like I said, I sent back. Never going back!

Wife had pigs n the blanket (sausage wrapped in pancakes). I tried the soup of the day (beef vegetables and the other is chicken noodle)
The soup was the most hearty, excellent brothy chicken noodle I have ever tried

I have eaten here four times. The wait staff are always friendly. The food is really good,.especially for the extremely reasonable prices. I usually have eggs,.toast, and home fries or hash browns, and it’s less than $8. Great flavor. Yesterday I had a taco salad in a huge fried taco bowl filled up with ground beef and salad with sour cream and salsa on the side. It’s a great deal as well.
