It is noticeable that this place is focused on local people, which is good. The menu is mostly based on seafood. It’s something similar to “comida corrida”: you order, take your plate, and go eat at a shared table. Based on the time I was there, I believe 80% of the customers are Norwegian.

Hagan de cuenta que es comida corrida pero en Noruega con precios de Noruega

Considered one of my best meals in Bergen! So glad to finally try local fish dishes and this place really made me happy. They were super friendly and it was easy to order as well. Their platter choices allow you to try bits of everything.

This place was awesome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Their fishball was so good, soft with a light bounce. Their 86% fishcake stood out amongst the others, and made such a difference. We tried 3 different fishcakes and every cut of each of the fishcakes revealed fish meat◡̈ Pure goodness. We also loved their fish soup, it was a chockful of ingredients and flavor, including the fishballs. 3 of us shared the plate and soups etc. We would go back to eat it again! Very comfort food vibes.

Stopped by Søstrene Hagelin for a quick lunch and was really happy with the experience. The place is simple, casual, and easy to order from — perfect if you want something fast but still traditional. I tried the classic fish soup and fish cakes, and both were tasty and comforting. The fish soup was slightly on the salty side for an Asian palate, but still enjoyable and very hearty.

Seating is a bit limited, so it can get crowded during busy hours, but the food comes out quickly, and it’s great for takeaway too. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant — it’s more of a no-frills, local spot focused on good quality seafood at reasonable prices (especially for Bergen).

Overall, a solid stop for anyone wanting authentic Norwegian fish dishes without the tourist-trap vibe

Ordered set #4 with the fish cakes and wrap for 289 NOK, approx $43 AUD. The fish soup was incredible! Tasty scallops and a nice rich creamy texture. Everything else though was standard and either too salty or bland.

Would recommend getting the soup on its own or as a main.

Tried Norway’s famous fish soup and it did not disappoint! Warm, tasty, and generous in portion – I’d definitely come back for it.

Seating is quite limited, so I went for grab & go this time. The soup was topped with fresh greens (not sure what exactly, but a nice touch). It was thick, hearty, and packed with plenty of fish chunks – absolutely perfect for a drizzly, chilly day.

Someone recommended this place as one where locals eat and it’s easy to understand why.

They serve delicious home made food that’s wholesome and nutritious.

I tried the fish soup and it was excellent.

The prices were reasonable and low compared to other restaurants even though I felt food was much more delicious here!

The food is good and simple. You won’t have a culinary revelation in this restaurant but the meals are tasty and affordable.
It makes a great option for people who want to have a quick lunch with some traditional food.

We tried their fish soup. It was good flavor wise, slightly salty, the fish balls were made of fish paste not fish flakes. The soup was warm and comforting. The service was friendly.

Family owned restaurant that serves Norwegian comfort foods. The best place to taste local dishes without feeling extorted. Value for money was simply satisfying. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bergen. Taste wise can be self adjusted based on personal preferences, but boy it was a hearty meal we had!
