Service is great. Food was delicious. To start we enjoyed the fried green beans and for our mains we had the carne Asada tacos with street corn and the royal with cheese with onion rings. We also enjoyed the Patton Pilsner and a flight of various options. prices are a little steep in our opinion, but food was enjoyable and fresh tasting.

Evil Czech Brewery is an interesting location. Throw your expectations out the window, this place is in a league of its own. There’s a lot of little details between the menu and the ambience of the location itself, and you can tell there was a lot of care and thought put into every detail.

The logo emblem is actually a barbarian, which is the historical Greek term to describe Celtic people/tribes that also settled on the Czech lands during the iron age. It’s a unique nod to the ancestral history of the Czech peoples and the owner.

I think our expectation was pub food to some degree, but also hoped for cultural eats as well. Some of the menu items are very unique and not commonly found at other restaurants… however, some items are labeled in a way that you may expect them to be like the industry standard, only for it to be completely different.

They have a menu item called “beer cheese” that they serve with some entrees and appetizers. Industry standard beer cheese is served hot and in golden liquid form… theirs is served cold, thick with cream cheese and beer mixed in for flavor. It is not what we were expecting at all. Not at all. Technically this item is really “pub cheese”, which is a cheese spread/dip and served cold. It’s delicious.

Their “Nogales Egg Rolls” are essentially Southwest Egg Rolls, and they are tasty! Nogales is a town in Arizona, which is a really unique detail, so there may be some connection.

The interior design of the restaurant is intriguing and very well planned. There’s plenty of unique artwork, signage, photos, and furniture. I really have to shout out the owner(s) here because they have incredible vision. I think they have done well to become a staple for visitors and their community, and you can tell how much they genuinely care about their guests.

This is a place you want to spend time at with friends and family. The experience at Evil Czech is something to behold, and I recommend everyone to check it out!

1st timers in town for the ND Game and stopped in to check out what this brewery was all about! I don’t think the staff was expecting such a large football crowd for Friday lunch but the place was packed. It was really great to see the hostesses and bartender helping the waitresses hold everything together. I ordered the Caesar salad and the full size was so filling! The dressing is made in house and the salad included fresh artichokes which is hard to find! My partner did the lunch all you can eat and really enjoyed being able to try everything on the menu in smaller portions! He specifically enjoyed the burgers! Overall I would recommend Evil Czech. Staff were friendly, food was good, and the bar atmosphere was cool/well decorated.

My girlfriend and I stopped into Evil Czech for a couple drinks and some food, and Allie took care of us the whole time. Super friendly, on top of everything, and just easy to talk to. And her gold adjustable‑wrench pen was honestly one of the coolest little touches I’ve ever seen from a server. Drinks were good, food was solid, and Allie made the whole visit better. We’ll definitely be back.

We are from northern Minnesota and visit family about 35 minutes easy of Mishawaka. We go to Evil Czech almost every visit. Our favorite is the lunch tiny plates. This time we went for Sunday dinner. 5 of the 6 of us got drinks and were happy with them. Food was fresh with big serving sizes. We had a few of the apps which had good sizes. We really like the beer cheese with the pretzel app. We haven’t yet tried the desserts, never room.

The service was very good. The food tasted good. I felt it was a little over priced for the portion sizes. The atmosphere was cool. I liked the decor. It was very clean. The pretzel appetizers were really interesting. They are long instead of a normal pretzel shape.

Second visit to the Evil Czech but first time sampling the Sunday brunch yesterday. It was a fantastic experience. The small plates were all absolutely delicious and I love that you get to try a bit of everything. I can honestly say the eggs Benedict is the best one I have ever eaten! This place serves the best food in the area and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I will most certainly be back!

This place is not quite the 5 stars that some are giving it, but it’s good, for sure. The giant mozz sticks are giant, but I thought they were a bit lacking in the flavor department, and I could not eat my food after that because it was so much cheese. the marinara was good though. I had shrimp tacos by recommendation, and they were quite underwhelming in the flavor department as well, but they had a fantastic variety of textures going on. The shrimp breading was tasteless. The Mac and cheese was epic, and so were the fried beans, but the grilled cheese was also a bit underwhelming. We also waited 30 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us, but he did l apologize profusely for not realizing that we were one of his tables, so we weren’t upset.

“A Hidden Gem in South Bend: Where Craft Beer Meets Comfort Food”

Nestled beside a charming putt-putt golf course in South Bend, Indiana, this upscale brewery shatters the typical dive bar stereotype with its immaculate presentation and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you pull into the abundant parking lot and are greeted by the friendly host, you know you’re in for something special.

The star of my feast was the chicken and waffle sandwich – a playful twist on a Southern classic. While the waffle was slightly modest in size and featured two crispy tenders rather than a more substantial cut, the flavors harmonized beautifully. The golden-brown waffle provided a sweet foundation, creating that magical sweet-and-savory dance that makes this combination so irresistible.

The beer-battered fries deserve their own spotlight – perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy within, and seasoned just right. They’re the kind that make you keep reaching for “just one more” until you’re suddenly staring at an empty basket.

But oh, those wings! They arrived in a state of crispy perfection, glistening with a mysterious sauce that hit all the right notes. Each bite delivered that satisfying crunch before yielding to tender, juicy meat underneath. At $15 for ten pieces, they’re worth every penny.

The craft beer selection is impressive, with each sample offering its own unique personality. The bartender’s engaging personality and deep knowledge of their brews adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the tasting experience.

At $50 all-in (including a beer, sandwich with fries, and wings), it’s not the cheapest meal in town, but the quality justifies the price point. The clean, organized space, complete with a lobby shop full of collectibles, elevates the entire experience beyond your typical brewery visit.

Recommendation: This is absolutely a must-visit spot in South Bend. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or simply seeking a quality meal in a welcoming atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed. Bring friends, order those wings, and make time for putt-putt afterward – it’s the perfect recipe for a memorable evening out.

Overall Rating: 4.5/5 – A delightful blend of quality food, excellent service, and inviting ambiance that makes you want to return again and again.

There were 9 of us and we all got the buffet. The food was really delicious. The stuff I didn’t like wasn’t because it was necessarily bad but because it wasn’t to my taste. I do encourage you to read the cards carefully to avoid any unwanted surprises. Despite there being a few large groups doing gift exchanges, it wasn’t overly loud. And our waitress was super attentive, always making sure our waters and coffee were refilled and our plates were cleared.

I really liked the Eggs Benedict, beaf slider, shrimp fried rice, the loaded nachos, and the blueberry cheesecake. I could go on and on about that blueberry cheesecake because it was literal perfection! It wasn’t as dense as it looks and it wasn’t overly sweet. The nachos weren’t as spicy as I thought they would be, they were really good! The Eggs Benedict had good flavor and were cooked well. The chocolate cake was sadly a miss as it was very dry. The steak quesadilla would have been better if it didn’t have the BBQ sauce in it.
