Just real food, made from scratch, the way it used to be. Every plate that leaves our kitchen is made with care—crispy hash browns, thick-cut bacon, real egg …

Millcreek breakfast joint. Potatoes from scratch, eggs cracked fresh, veggies chopped each day, thick bacon, pancakes bigger than your face!

Ate here with another couple on a Sunday late morning. The wait wasn’t too bad. Such a cozy breakfast spot! Food was super fresh. Friends got the spicy sausage scramble, and I got the veggie scramble. Highly recommend a scramble as they put your omelet scrambled on top of the potatoes! Coffee is great here as well.

Our experience for brunch was very disappointing. It was extremely loud (mostly from the open kitchen area) and cramped. But we stayed for the food. The omelettes we ordered were subpar. The veggies were rather large and hardly cooked. The egg portion was extremely small compared to omelettes we’ve had before. Aldo very bland. The potatoes were real, but really bland, dry and a little burnt. But the weirdest part was getting a croissant that had been toasted. So dry and disgusting.
Wish I could say it was a good experience, but not our cup or tea. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who shares similar tastes.

My girlfriends came to SLC for a quick visit. We knew we wanted brunch so we headed to Over the Counter Cafe for our morning meal.

We came at the right time which was around 10:20. There was a good size crowd already but we were able to find a table for us. We got coffee started while we breezed over the menu.

For breakfast today I snagged the #2 with a side of country gravy for my home fries. Man it was perfect! I got all my favorite things. Home fries, eggs and bacon. Everything was cooked nicely! The bacon was crispy. The home fries had crunchy pieces and soft pieces mixed together. I love country gravy on my potatoes and this country gravy was so good! My eggs were jammy in the middle. Everything was so fabulous!

I had a great meal here with my friends. A core memory for us. Coffee was hot. Staff was really nice. The food was killer. But the time we left at 11:30 people were piled up outside waiting for a table. I’m happy I got to check this joint out. One of the best breakfasts in town!

As a Salt Lake City local, this is one of my favorite greasy breakfast spots! You can never go wrong with any of the skillets or scrambles, and I love that any omelette can be made into a scramble. I love the OTC skillet! And I usually like to sub the bread for a multigrain pancake. Their pancakes are perfection.

You have to know going in that the environment in there is a little hectic and crazy… But the service is always so fast with constant attention to making sure you have everything you need. After shiny places keep getting built, this is always my favorite.

Banana nut pancakes were really good. They are huge and I’d never order more than one. French toast was good but a little undercooked and mushy in the middle. Home fries were barely cooked so just raw potatoes

Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The food came out cold. The server didn’t come back once. I asked for the bacon well done and it actually came out undercooked. No refill on coffee or water. Food came out at different times. I left half my plate. Idk how this place got rated this high. They must be paying customers to do this. Hands down worst breakfast and experience. Do not recommend!

If you are looking for a breakfast with cozy local vibe this is the place. Loved the chocolate chip pancakes.

Saturday morning breakfast: lucky to get right in around 10:00am (highly unusual not to wait a few minutes).

Expected local diner atmosphere. Service and food delivery were very fast. Food was hot, but lacked salt. I prefer to season my eggs and potatoes myself, so this was good for me. Value was good.

I knew we were in for a good experience from the crowd waiting to get in. The wait was not long and got a table pretty quick. The service was very quick and food was served faster than we expected. Quite enjoyable atmosphere that looks like an old style of eatery where the cooks are right in the middle making your meal. Although it was quite busy, the staff was quite attentive . Food was delicious . We will be going back

Great service, one of the few places you can still get a bone-in ham steak and eggs benedict that has hollandaise sauce made from scratch and if it wasn’t it sure tasted like it was. Cozy definitely a daily experience if I lived in the neighborhood.
