This was a legit little sandwich shop!! My wife said it is some of the best pastrami she’s ever had. I had the roast beef sandwich, and it was really freaking good. They load up the sandwiches with a good amount of meat! The onion rings, latkes, and coleslaw were all very solid sides as well. It’s a tiny shop, so you have to squeeze in there but it’s all a part of the experience. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you’re in the mood for a good sandwich!

I really don’t understand why people enjoy this place. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and the bread was extremely dry while the pastrami itself was cold. The chopped liver was acceptable, but again it was served with dry bread. The service felt as if they were doing me a favor, which is never a good feeling. I will not spend my time or money here again. There are many other places that offer a much better experience.

Kind of pretty good? The meat is sliced thinner than katz and the sandwich is much smaller (for almost same price). Soup came out very fast because they did not heat it up (or season it at all). Sandwiches were also not really warm. Price of the meal was kind of crazy. I am a local and stopped by because it is supposedly a classic. I’m gonna stick to my go-to on Houston street. Service is slow and people waiting for tables stare at you and get in your space. If you need to try this place just get it to go.

Pastrami by the pound! I set up an entire meal at home for family with what I can bring home from Pastrami Queen. There are no pretenders here and its worth finding this little spot to get the real deal. I leave a tip in the jar for the fellows that make all of this good food, and I have always had only the very best Pastrami from them.

Pastrami Queen was great! The sandwiches were truly excellent — especially the roast beef, tongue, and brisket. The beef broth served as a dipping sauce was rich and flavorful. The coleslaw was fresh and perfectly balanced, and the local soda was just the right touch. The place was clean (even the restroom!), we found a table right away, got served quickly, and finished our meal without any delays. The check for three was a bit over $100 — definitely worth it for the quality and experience.

I ordered a pastrami sandwich, a brisket sandwich, and French fries. Everything arrived super cold and chewy. The brisket wasn’t even brisket — it tasted like boiled beef on a hero roll.

Nothing was flavorful, and the overall quality was really disappointing.
I genuinely hate writing bad reviews, and I always try to avoid it, but this was too much.
It felt disrespectful to serve food like this

I really wanted to try a typical pastrami sandwich, and I think I chose a great place. It’s very small and modest, but it has a unique and authentic atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the traditional sandwich with fries, and there were two of us. It was very tasty.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about the $50.00 per pound pastrami, that’s always delicious, BUT the packets of prepared mustard just cheapens the entire experience. Here’s some free advice: fill plastic soufflé cups w/lids with the same brown, spicy mustard you serve at the tables. Isn’t that what you used to do? I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated by others as well.

The pastrami was fantastic- best I’ve tried. Slightly underwhelmed with the amount and size of takeaway sandwich for $30+ but the quality is indisputable.

We also got a chicken/rice/matzoh ball soup – incredible.

Re the size:
Was very excited but felt short changed when I opened up the sandwich. Perhaps the inclusion of a side of something to bulk it out would help.
