We love Castiglia’s! We’re from Winchester and when they had a restaurant there we’d visit it frequently. Now we travel to their Front Royal location.
The food is delicious and deliciously consistent! My daughter and I had the spaghetti with garlic and oil, and my wife has the chicken Parmesan. We had their bread sticks with cheese for an appetizer. (Honestly, we’d come here just for these bread sticks!)

The food was out of this world good! We got a buffalo calzone and it was super flavorful. My wife got the spaghetti wait marinara and said it was tasty. Very easy to order the meal on their website and pick it up. Only downside is that they did not provide any plastic silverware or napkins for a large meal like this.

From the moment we moved here in 2014, this has been one of our absolute favorite restaurants. There is no other restaurant in town where you get more bang for your buck and the food is absolutely amazing. No matter what we order we always get a to go box because the portion sizes are so large. It’s like getting two meals or maybe three meals in one. They have the best Italian food around. If you’ve not tried them yet, I highly recommend you do. Natasha is so sweet and kind. She goes above and beyond every time we are in there to make our dining experience fantastic. They deserve 100 stars not just five!

Castiglias use to have the best food in town, but my last 2 visits exampled a significant decline in taste and quality. Tonight, Wednesday nite, I ordered one of their Chicken Alfredo meals. I was promptly served a half bowl of salad with a large side of dressing. The lettuce smelled and tasted like mold. I could not eat it and explained about the prominent mold odor to my server. She apologized and took it away, but made no offer to replace it with a fresh salad.
When dinner came, the Chicken Alfredo dinner was truly underwhelming. I used to love the generous portions of big sliced mushrooms. Tonight, if there were any mushroom tidbits, I could not even find one. Instead there was an overabundance of cooked red onions in every bite.
Their chicken used to be so flavorful, it would melt in your mouth and so tender, you could cut it with your fork. Not anymore. The chicken cutlets were bland and tough, the Alfredo sauce, truly mediocre and unimpressive. When my bill came for over $20, they offered no compensation for the moldy salad, but charged full price.
Where we used to eat there almost every week, I’m sureI I won’t be going back anytime soon. They’ve lost one devoted customer.

Lasagna 14.29 has a sauce on it, as opposed to in it. Has very little meat and very thick noodles. It doesn’t taste like lasagna. See photo. Personal Pizza w/3 toppings- 12.50 has a weird flavor like it has white sauce on it, but it doesn’t have the taste of oregano and basil. I’m not finishing the piece. The salad it’s all iceberg.

First dressing was ranch what I asked for but what came out tasted exactly like Caesar. She brought out a different salad w/1000.
My friend is the one who paid. I looked at the receipt which cost $37 for this meal which seemed a little steep. They’re charging more on the receipt than they do on the menu.

I had the chicken orto and my son had the tortellini Alfredo—both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The adult portions are generous, so there was plenty to share and even some leftovers. Definitely a great spot if you’re craving hearty pasta.

Traveling through and ended up here for dinner. What a very pleasant surprise. Outstanding in every way. Huge portions, A+ pizza, everyone loved their dishes. Excellent dessert, wow! Service was excellent. Would highly recommend!!

Castiglia was really good. We will definitely try and stop here on our way back through. We got their spaghetti with meat sauce, Stromboli, and a mixed plate with lasagna, chicken parmesean, spaghetti, and meatballs. The servings are huge! I’m not complaining because I will happily be eating my leftovers tomorrow. Two of the meals came with salad. Their Italian dressing was really good. I’m not sure if they make it in-house, but it tastes fresh. They also put bread out. The bread was okay. Not nearly as good as our food. They really should put out a garlic olive oil to dip the bread in and not the “meh” packaged butter packs. But it won’t be the bread that will be bringing me back. Their sauce is so good! Outside of Richmond, this is the best Italian that I have had in a really long time. The staff is outstanding! The atmosphere is nice. I’m kind of in a food coma right now from all of the food, so I probably won’t sound too coherent. If that doesn’t sell you to try Castiglia, then I don’t know what will.
