We ordered two #17–we were excited because it’s our first time here. We ordered and the waitress didn’t look very positive to start with. We waited for 15+ minutes before getting our bowls. They came out among 11 bowls on a cart. The waitress pushed the cart to the first 3 tables in a row (2,3,2) before turning around to come to us 2 bowls and the table next to us 2 more bowls. Our bowls were warm not piping hot as they supposed to be served. The bean sprouts were stringy with long roots and the basil leaves were quite wilted.
The food would have been fine it it came out hot—as it was, I was highly annoyed having to eat it.
I won’t be back again.

We visited Pho Tai in Federal Way with our two toddlers tonight. The restaurant was about half empty. After we were seated, given water, and placed our order, an Asian lady told us we needed to move because a large party was coming and they wanted to combine our table with others.

I politely asked whether a different empty table could be rearranged instead. We were told to “move to any table.” So we moved ourselves along with our drinks and a high chair.

The new table was visibly dirty. When I asked for it to be cleaned, the same lady wiped briefly with a very dirty cloth and left it dirty. When I asked for it to be wiped properly, the employee raised her voice, accused me of being rude, and later claimed we had “chosen” to move, even though we were clearly instructed to.

A different staff member eventually cleaned the table correctly. I asked to speak with a superior but we were informed the supervisor/manager had already left for the day. After such experience we decided not to stay and then were yelled at again by the same lady while leaving.

Accommodating large parties is understandable. Forcing guests to move in a half empty restaurant, poorly cleaning tables, and yelling at customers for wanting a clean table — especially in front of children — is not acceptable.

BEWARE: EXPIRED HEALTH PERMIT!!!! Absolutely terrible “customer service”. I had a problem with my order being inedible and was told there was nothing they could do after promising a replacement. Yen told me “we serve lots of customers, only you have an issue” despite many reviews mentioning issues with the food quality. When I asked for the manager, the boy laughed at me and told me to call in the morning. I was told there was absolutely no way to contact the manager. All 3 of the workers were rude and unprofessional, especially Yen. My first and last time coming here.

The food was pretty good. Service was NOT it. Lady in the front didn’t look like she enjoyed what she did. It took nearly 5 minutes to get sat down and another 7 minutes to get our water and menus. Keep in mind, it was the slow time, and both waitresses were taking their time. Restrooms were clean. After we finished eating, I had to go up to the front to get my check. Overall, just not good service.

12/3/24 4:45 pm I ordered take out with my bf to get dinner and we always go to this place for food because the service is good when not busy. Today when starting to eat my chicken fried rice I saw a piece of shrimp. I’m deadly allergic to shellfish. I called to see if they have known and they asked if I order the combo fried rice. There was only one piece and the rest chicken. It gets me questioning, do they always just use the same pan for the same orderes? It’s completely disgusting and awful and I don’t wish this on anybody. Im currently heading to the emergency room to get treated.

Poor customer service! Young lady who brought our food and we noticed missing food . I asked her 3 times about missing food, with rude attitude she said it’s coming . 10 min later no food , I asked for it again and she said she forgot to ring it. I asked for extra lime and that never made it to our table , water never made it to our table , napkins and extra utensils never made it to our table and 3 adult meals with missing food the the kids total of 5 they charge us $9 for gratuity for what ?
Customer service is going down and food quality poor . I would love to see this restaurant be audit for their cleanliness.

When we walked in the atmosphere looked very nice and we were even thinking about dining in. As we waited in line we were talking and we didn’t realize it was our turn. The cashier with the short pixie cut called us up in a rude manner so I was caught off guard. She was very curt. I ordered spring shrimp rolls but I said shrimp rolls as Ive said in other restaurants before and I got the shrimp pho instead and when I told the cashier politely that I wanted the shrimp rolls she condescendingly laughed and said that it’s called spring rolls. She was flat out rude and has no customer service skills at all. I’ve always ordered it as shrimp rolls before at other restaurants and still got the spring rolls. It felt as she just wanted to be rude.

No Standards Across the Board

Came in for a simple Saturday morning dine in and was very disappointed. Customer service was nonexistent. No greeting, no smile, and no real table service (the waiter just took our order).

The dining area was filthy. Floors and tables were visibly dirty, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness standards overall, including the kitchen. The food came in large portions but tasted old and reheated. I didn’t eat it.

Poor service, poor cleanliness, and poor food quality. Not recommended.
