Stopped here on our way home from visiting family. About 5-10 minutes from the parkway. But we’ll worth the stop. Place was clean and a great setting. Food and service were both very good. Servings were plentiful. I had breakfast and some of the best biscuits & gravy I’ve had in a long time. Wife decided on a burger & fries.(we got there just 15 minutes before breakfast serving time ended). Recommend if you’re looking for some good home style cooking and a peaceful relaxing place to eat.

Home-style cooking, and it is very, very good! For this lunch I had the half-rack of BBQ ribs with onion rings, and both were fantastic. I’m not sure, but I believe the onion rings were made from scratch!
The service was fast and very friendly, even though I had the feeling they might have been slightly short staffed due to bad roads (snow and ice).
Highly recommended; one of the very best restaurants you’ll find in Leitchfield!

We stopped there on our way from Chicago to New Orleans. Rarely had such a warm welcome. Everyone was kind. We sadly did not try the food — as we come from France, it might be hard to come back anytime soon, but you’d definitely give it a go!

My son and I went to the Feed Mill for the catfish. I ordered the dinner and he ordered the all you could eat catfish. The food was excellent!! It was hot and fresh. The service was sorely lacking. The server once she brought out our food she refilled our drinks and then she spent the rest of the time talking to some of her family who came in. They were even seated in another server’s section. She charged my son for the dinner rather than the all you can eat since she never brought him anymore fish. We had also planned on ordering dessert but when she seen we were finished with our meal she brought our check. We even had to ask the hostess for a box so I could take home my leftovers. The other server that was working the room we were seated in was very busy and looked like she did her job well. Our server needed to focus on her tables and do her job. Receiving poor service is why I rated they way I did.

Farmer’s Feedmill in Leitchfield, Kentucky, earns a solid five stars for its exceptional diner experience. The ambiance is classic and clean, a testament to their commitment to a welcoming atmosphere. The spotless interior and comfortable seating create a relaxed, enjoyable setting.
The service was outstanding. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and seated without delay. My server was efficient and friendly, delivering my meal in a mere five minutes. Despite the initial disappointment of the Beef Manhattan being unavailable, the “Hot” Club sandwich recommendation proved to be a culinary triumph.
The food was the true star of the show. The “Hot” Club sandwich was a masterpiece, featuring juicy, flavorful meat, fresh tomato, and perfectly crispy bacon. The French fries were equally impressive – golden, non-greasy, and utterly delicious. Every element of the meal was expertly prepared and presented. This place is truly a gem, a testament to great food and outstanding service.

We came here for breakfast and were really disappointed. Our meal took 45 minutes to arrive, even though other tables who came in after us were served much faster. When the food finally came, the Farmers Omelet was a letdown—super dry and tasted like something you’d get at a low-grade hotel. Overall, both the service and food quality need serious improvement. I hope they address these issues, as the experience did not live up to expectations.

Nice little place! It was super busy when we arrived, definitely a local favorite. We tried several things on the menu like the catfish platter, the vegetable plate, and the Manhattan. The broccoli salad was fantastic. The “baby bakers,” small roasted potatoes, were delicious. The white roll was pretty good too. One of the best things we tried was the coonhunter’s cake. It was this pineapple and cream cheese concoction with nuts. Yum. The staff was super friendly and got our whole order correct and in a timely fashion. I would recommend checking this place out!

Had dinner last night and I would give them 5 stars. Food was reasonably priced and delicious . I even bought a bag of homemade sweets. Very Good dessert. Staff was very nice and respectful……So this morning I ordered breakfast and the breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced as well. The staff this morning were confrontational over butter. I hope their day improves! People love Butter!

Service was great. Potato Boats were delicious. Only drawback was the fried pork chops. They are breaded and deep fried and it was full of gristle. My wife was unable to eat it. I ended up giving her half my patty melt to eat. It was good. We’ll give it another chance if we are up that way but we won’t make a special trip to go back. If we do go back we definitely wont order the pork chops.

I ordered the patty melt with fries. It consisted of 2 meat patties covered in sautéed onions and cheese served on Texas toast. The sandwich was very good, but the meat was a bit overcooked and rather dry. The accompanying fries were cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned.
My wife ordered the Farmer Brown, their take on a Kentucky hot brown. There are 2 choices, a half order or a full order. If you order the full order, you should fully expect to take half of it home to eat another day. The portion size is large. The open faced sandwich was very tasty and covered in piles of deliciousness. My only complaint is that the ham was tough to cut. The bite I had was very good, though.
The prices were fair, the service was top notch, and I would definitely eat here again if I’m in town.
So, today, 1-24-25, I made a special trip 1 1/2 hours each way just because I was craving the Farmers Hot Brown! And boy, it was worth the trip! It was worth the money as is, but still the ham was a little hard to cut ( next time I’ll ask for a steak knife), and I ordered a full serving, and it would benefit from an extra piece of bacon. I would pay extra for one more piece of bacon. That said, I’m still looking forward to my next visit.
