I got a salami sandwich from here that was…okay. The sandwich was pretty big for $10, but it was mostly filled with the veggie toppings. There was only one thin layer of salami. It tasted fine, but more meat would’ve made it more flavorful. I wouldn’t order this particular sandwich again, but might try another.

We also tried their cheese dog and the beef and cheese pastelillo. Pastelillos were delicious! The cheese dog was really interesting. It was a hotdog with American cheese all wrapped in thin dough and deep fried. It’s one of those things you should probably only have one a year…like a guilty pleasure, haha!

So, I’m not rushing back to La Flor, but I’m glad they’re there.

Many choices for pastries, and also food although we only wanted dessert. We got the cheese flan, vanilla flan, and tres leches. The other places nearby in Buffalo were all out of flan. It was very good here, especially the vanilla flan. The woman at the register was nice and even gave us an extra flan. There’s outdoor seating.

This place does not look like much, but what it lacks in appearance it makes up for in food. We stopped for pastries and were not disappointed. I highly recommend stopping here, such a great spot!

My first time here. Out of roast pork so I got the chicken and yellow rice with a beef and cheese pastellito. The chicken and rice were both sooooooo beyond dry and bland. The pastellito had good flavor, but it was the most greasy thing I’ve ever been served. One bite and I couldn’t eat it as it was literally oozing oil. Would not go back.

Have ordered from here before and it was phenomenal, however, I ordered food for my girlfriend and I for Valentine’s day , it was disrespectful the food that was given to me, the chicken tastes like it was made 3 hrs prior to me eating it, everything just tasted like old oil, I ordered pork and was given old cold chicken. Save your money and get food elsewhere. Disappointing, we wont be back

A fun little Puerto Rican takeout place with lots of different dessert options at extremely decent prices! They also have pastelillos and other “street foods,” and then there’s the Cuban sandwiches! Yummy! A variety of sandwich options as well! Cards and Google/Apple pay are accepted.

**La Flor Bakery: A Taste of Grandma’s Cooking from Puerto Rico in Buffalo, NY**

Located in the heart of Buffalo, NY, La Flor Bakery is a culinary treasure that brings the comforting flavors of Puerto Rican grandmothers right to your plate. During my recent visit, I was transported back to my family’s home in the center of the island by the incredible tastes and aromas that filled the bakery.

The star of the show at La Flor Bakery is undoubtedly their mouthwatering pernil asado, or roasted pork. The meat was tender, juicy, and bursting with a symphony of spices that reminded me of the traditional recipes passed down through generations. Paired with their fragrant arroz con habichuelas (rice and beans), every bite was a nostalgic journey to the dining table of my Puerto Rican relatives.

For those craving a hearty meal, La Flor Bakery also offers delicious bistec (steak) that is cooked to perfection. The flavors were bold and satisfying, making it a true delight for meat lovers looking for an authentic Puerto Rican dining experience.

No meal at La Flor Bakery would be complete without indulging in their heavenly desserts. The tres leches cake, a staple of Puerto Rican celebrations, was moist, creamy, and infused with just the right amount of sweetness. And let’s not forget their irresistible quesitos, flaky pastries filled with creamy cheese that melted in my mouth with every bite.

Beyond the exceptional food, La Flor Bakery’s ambiance exudes warmth and hospitality. The staff welcomed me with open arms, sharing stories and recommendations that made me feel like part of their extended family.

In essence, La Flor Bakery captures the essence of home-cooked Puerto Rican cuisine with its flavorful pernil, comforting arroz con habichuelas, bistec,& delectable tres leches, and irresistible quesitos. It’s a culinary journey that transports you to the heart of Puerto Rico, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic taste of the island’s culinary heritage right here in Buffalo, NY.

Very nice staff. Went with a large group and ate outside. We kept going back in for more fork and spoons, yet the staff was nice about it. Very good price for the portion sizes. The place is very small, with only a few tables, so it’s a nice atmosphere. Actually connected to a barber shop. We tought there was a pet in the bakery, turns out it was the cash register!
