We used to love coming to Layne’s before the pandemic! The quality has gone down the last few times. No longer fresh like it used to be. These were my fries from this evening. Literally bottom of the barrel. Not enjoyable.

I just had food delivered through DoorDash. There is a black hair wrapped in my tortilla. Usually I do not have issues with this location, but this is just not acceptable.

1st time ever trying it. Or even heard of it. I tell you this, LAYNES BEFORE CANES… Just the variety in sauces, and the chicken alone has flavor ..im a fan..my family and I choose this over cfa and raising canes.. #sorrynotsorry

Value for the money is not good. They used to actually give you chicken strips, now they’re more like nuggets. I think they chop the strips in half nowadays. I like the chicken a lot but $14 for 5 mini strips is just a little crazy.

Had dinner there out of convenience as it’s quick and close to home after a long shift. We were too tired to remember to ask for to go and they didn’t ask so we dined in, no biggie, Sunday is a busy day for everyone in college station. It’s just a few minutes. This is the Wellborn location on the off chance you googled the other one.

Their prices have risen recently, that would be one thing. Their floors always look and feel as sticky as if they haven’t seen a mop in months. And a roach decided to grace us with its presence halfway through our meal, it walked around unafraid, from its slowness it could’ve already been poisoned but who’s to say; That would just mean i was eating in a poison treated environment regardless.

This is the second fast food restaurant in college station I’ve eaten at within the past couple weeks with pest issues, the last was a subway I wanna say on Texas ave? It’s next to wash haus the laundromat and a bar I think called Tap. I didn’t have the energy to leave a review on that one, but the only employee working that night informed me of the roaches mice and gnats they had as she was handing us our food at the check out. We had already paid.

Laynes employees have never been rude to us, and pest issues aren’t directly an average workers fault, but it’s unacceptable in an eating establishment so sadly, I won’t be back. Canes it is.

Tonight I had a horrible experience with meal. I am highly allergic to mold and mildew. I am absolutely disgusted after nearly finishing toast to see this!

Came here on 1/10/2026 in the middle of the night to get some good food and low and behold the issues began right when I started ordering the food.

They almost got my drink wrong if I hadn’t repeated my drink order 3 times they DEFINITELY would have.

I go to pay for my food and OF COURSE my card doesn’t work thanks a lot bank.

I went inside to pay for my food and I checked to make sure that they got my usually right and low and behold they didn’t get that right. I asked for my usual and they employees tells me that I asked for something when I didn’t and event tried to charge me for my usually sauce.

To make matters worse they made me take the sauce I didn’t want and they didn’t even provide me with a plastic bag to carry everything or a drink holder. The sauce I didn’t want spilled every and dropped NUMEROUS TIMES absolutely ruining my night and my door.

Save your money and go else where they don’t care about getting your order right and if you ask for a correction they will just charge you for it!!!

One thing this location always gets right is messing up an order, (only bc of the proximity).. Not to complain on 1 chicken strip, I’m complaining on the price I paid on this “meal”. Usually we’re missing a strip, a straw, sauce, a bag to hold the food, or potato salad. I don’t understand how hard it is to count to 5. Honestly I never thought they handed bags, we’d have to carry these boxes and drinks. I thought it was to save on cost, I guess I’m right… I lost a nug and gained a bag.

I thought the food was alright, it tasted good, not exceptional that I would keep coming back though. It’s worth trying at least once. The menu is like raising cane’s.

We arrived after graduation and they immediately let us know they closed in 20 minutes. Not very friendly, as they were in a rush to get us out the door. Food was okay. I ordered spicy tenders and they were fine. The fries were old and crunchy.
