Casa Mexicana is one of the nicer South of the border restaurants we dined at and it was a short walk from the Hampton or Home2.

We had a Coctel de Cameron and Mango Chipotle Shrimp w/ broccoli and rice. Warm chips and tasty salsa were served with our beverage.

We enjoyed our meal very much.

Food wasn’t the greatest. I got the meat parilla for one. Ground beef isn’t what I expected.
The beans and rice were decent. The cerveza cold and service was great.
I can’t say I’d return unless it was just to have a few drinks.

First time coming to this place. is was walking distance from my hotel I ordered a Torta that’s new to there menu from what it said. Well that is not a torta is a skinny sub that was hard as rocks burnt meat was not cut. The meat was dry and hard to chew. The waiter was very nice and understanding. The Torta comes with potato chips like sub way!! Just terrible experience. I did talk to the manager and she refunded the meal that almost broke my teeth. Please take this out your menu you’re cook obviously don’t know how to prepare and serve a torta!

The food was fantastic. The flavors and amount were perfect. The service was severely lacking. Huge communication issue with the waitress. She forgot items, placed the order incorrectly, and brought us the wrong check. The atmosphere was overshadowed by extremely loud music. Again the food was great.

I was there for date night and ordered a Super Burrito. Honestly, the Mexican food was kind of bad — it tasted like the burrito had been sitting out for a while, if that makes sense. Maybe everyone was tired or just having a rough night, because usually Casa Mexicana is really good. The service was okay and everything, and the drinks were really good — they were fire, honestly. But this time, my experience just wasn’t great overall.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is really good. It’s clean with lots of seeding. The staff was very friendly and attentive. There’s a large selection on the menu and the prices are good. I got the lunch special and it was just the right amount of food. I highly recommend this place.

We love this place! Unfortunately, first time going on a Tuesday at 3pm. We felt like we got leftover meats. I ordered carnitas and my husband ordered shredded beef chimichanga. The meats were tough. I ordered refried beans and my husband ordered boiled beans. We both ended up with boiled. Edgar the waiter saw the mistake and wanted my plate back. My husband said bring her refried beans and I will pay for them. Edgar picked up our plates when we were done and mine clearly showed I did not touch the boiled beans. I know my husband agreed to pay for an order a refried beans but it’s just the point. Why should we pay for the kitchen’s mistake? All good, just don’t understand why we had to pay for the extra order of beans when we ordered correctly. I hope Martin sees this and corrects the rule about taking back the plate to prove to the kitchen the mistake happened. Maybe just a snapshot of my plate would have done the trick?!? Thanks!

I love this place! Our food has been delicious every time and the prices are worth coming back for again and again. I usually have leftovers because the portions are really generous. Love the decor inside, like being in a little village in Mexico.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Desoto county. The food is always good and the service is pretty awesome too. If you’re in the mood for Mexican food try this place out.

TL;DR: Massive margaritas, a diverse menu, and excellent service.

A short stagger from the Home2 by Hilton, this Mexican restaurant is worth a visit and doubly so if you’re staying within walking distance.

The service was amazing. We ordered waters to start, but as soon as we were ready to order margaritas, our server was right there. And it felt like no sooner had he left than the food arrived.

I originally ordered a delicious sounding Jalapeño and Cucumber Margarita, but when they were out of jalapeño liquor, the server suggested what was already my second choice : Rum Tropical Margarita. It was amazing.

My wife ordered a “Monster” frozen bannana margarita that lived up to the name. It was easily 5 times larger than mine. Not a fan of banana myself, but she loved it.

For the main course I ordered the Quesabirria. A quesadilla made with birria and served with the delicious broth for dipping. I don’t know if I could have ordered anything better.

My wife had the P-10 (chicken cheese and rice). This was fairly typical but tasted up to par.

The menu overall was quite varied with traditional and more experimental dishes.

My daughter came here for a soccer tournament and I could easily see us eating here again next time we are in the area.
