Came here for a later Tuesday lunch for two, no reservation and had no issues getting sat right away. Very cool atmosphere, embraces a bit of an industrial style with some great music but the food feels hardly industrial. Also had options to sit outside or inside, as long as the weather was nice. We started off splitting an order of elote and a complimentary plate of chips and salsa. Both very tasty and not overly heavy like some other elote I’ve had. We decided to go for the taco Tuesday theme and went for the Miami vice (basically a spicy Cuban sandwich), the loaded potato, BBQ pork, and tequila chicken tacos. All were delicious, but my personal favorite was the Miami vice, but I am a sucker for a Cuban sandwich. The loaded potato has a lot of potential, but I think could be a little more substantial filling wise. But on the topic of portions, these tacos are bigger than your usual which was a pleasant surprise! Would be happy to come back and try more of their tacos and other various tex-mex fusion delights. Staff was super friendly and made sure to keep tabs on us throughout the meal. A good amount of public parking nearby on the street or paid lots.

Stopped in here recently and was genuinely impressed. I had the tacos and they were absolutely fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. You can tell they put real care into the ingredients and seasoning.

The service was just as good. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the visit feel really welcoming without being over the top. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows both in the food and the atmosphere.

Whether you’re looking for something light and refreshing or a full meal, this spot is a great choice. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

The restaurant was good overall, but not outstanding. The food had nice flavor and was enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable which made the experience pleasant. I ordered the taco salad. Would order again!

It’s definitely a solid place to grab a meal, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way for. Still, if you’re in the area, it’s worth trying.

Came here to get something refreshing. Ended up getting the Ahi Tuna Taco which was pretty delicious. The taco portions are pretty generous. The soy marinated raw tuna was a nice touch and the flying machine Mexican lager was really crisp. I was also impressed with the great service too. This is a great spot downtown if you’re looking for something light to eat and a cold pint to beat the heat. Will be visiting again!

Man, what a great food and service. The owner of the place almost know their regular guests but they were taking extra care for the new guests. Amazing crew and their hospitality. This is going to be my first place if I am ever eating at Wilmington downtown again.
It’s a very well crafted Mexican food with their own unique flavors. As they said, the black beans were so well cooked and Smokey that even a meat lover would give up on their meat choices.
Must visit place.

Had a great experience at Beer Barrio in Wilmington. The food was delicious, and the jalapeño margaritas were especially good, perfect balance of spice and flavor! Brian was a wonderful bartender: friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back.

Frankly, we left before ordering.
Our server introduced herself as the Sommelier, Haley. We told her that we were going to be a few minutes to look over the menu as this was our 1st visit. We all ordered our iced teas & looked at the menu.
We had decided to come here after we looked online via Google search for the menu items that we’d like to try. When we got there, the menu was entirely different (specifically they had fewer burritos now). Having a 1st trimester pregnant woman in our group, her ability/inability to keep food down is pretty much what was steering our food choices lol
Haley brought our drinks & I very nicely mentioned that the menu was different than what we’d seen online & we were so sorry but we’d just going to take our drinks & go.
She stood there & basically argued with me & all but called me a liar… yeah. She asked “where online” I got the info because she “just updated” their website, etc. I explained Google maps reviews is where I looked & if it was an old review photo then that’s fine & totally my fault but we were just gonna take our drinks to go because they didn’t have what we wanted. Haley CONTINUED to tell me that I didn’t see what I told her I’d seen & she just looked at the info on their site & they don’t have alot of burritos even listed, just the 1 burrito.
I told her how Google reviews work & that it’s independent from the owner website info & that there wasn’t a problem but that we were gonna go ahead & take our drinks to go because we, including the pregnant lady, looked at the menus she handed us & there wasn’t anything on the menu we wanted to eat or that she could keep down & “thank you anyway but we’ll just take our drinks to go”…
Y’all she STILL stood there, telling me that I didn’t see what I saw because she didn’t do that on the website!!
Seriously it was not that big a deal (to us) to pay for our drinks to go & then go find someplace else to eat. I even laughed it off at first & told her it wasn’t anything bad, just we were in the mood for more variety burritos & they didn’t serve them anymore. But it ABSOLUTELY WAS a big deal that this lady, who is an integral part of the business, STOOD THERE basically ARGUING & CALLING ME A LIAR. Our whole party was in shock at her attitude & audacity.
But I took a photo of the menu in case you do want to go there lol

Very solid under the radar Mexican spot. Humble place! Free chips and salsa for dine in guests. Tuna and catfish tacos were very good. Super fair prices. 2 tacos for 1 person = plenty. Not fancy, but very decent meal and fast! Quesadillas were also pretty nice.
