Thank you!
In general, the restaurant staff are excellent from what we saw — friendly and professional. However, I was a little disappointed with our waiter, who simply dropped off plates with little interaction or introduction. At the end, after a gap of around 30 minutes (when tea or a digestif would have been appreciated) we were presented with the bill and asked to settle. I have no problem with sticking to service times, but you can still take a moment to ask whether we enjoyed the meal. This put a slight negative spin on what was otherwise a lovely experience.
I had high hopes for this restaurant, and was excited when I booked a table.
But I have to say I was disappointed after have dinner there with a friend.
Tight wooden seating which adds an authentic feel, open kitchen where you can see the chefs working tirelessly in their dishes.
The owner & staff are cool & professional!
We had the veal croquettes with labneh (cream cheese) and hummus: the veal was tender and juicy, labneh was also tasty. Hummus however was grainy and bland.
Entrée: roasted octopus with grilled peppers and chorizo. That was a tasty dish, complementary savors, well cooked and fresh!
I opted for the Wagyu steak with a vegetable mix. Priced at 41€, you get 2 thin slices of steak which weren’t cooked properly and overly salty. A big disappointment for a dish marked as « our exceptional meat ».
A nice bottle of Les Perruches went well with our courses.
We finally shared the pineapple confit with coconut mousse. Very refreshing and fruity flavors!
I will go back to try it a second time, but my first impression was it being overpriced with the quantity & quality served!
The monkfish was a wonderful surprise for me.
The dishes arrived at a perfect pace, the wine pairing worked beautifully, and although my time was short, it turned out to be a very satisfying dinner.
Staff were friendly & spoke great English.
Starter/main/desert, nothing fell short and we’d dine there again in a heartbeat.
It was around €60 p.p. Including a bottle of wine so was well priced for such nice quality.
Merci!
