Let me tell a little story. About 3 weeks prior to visiting Lattuca, I was in Dallas, and had some great BBQ while down in sunny Texas. When a co worker said we were going to Quebec, and he booked reservations at “An amazing” BBQ place, I was confused. Quebec and BBQ didn’t go together in my mind. But, oh how wrong I was. Latucca may very well be the BEST BBQ I have ever had, and I’d like to think I’ve had a lot, having lived in NC for 4 years. We ordered a group platter, each with our own set of sides, and those by themselves could have been a meal. The Slaw, with a vinaigrette base was amazing. Great Mac and Cheese, and the baked beans were as well. But that meat platter, holy crap. Pulled pork, pork ribs, and brisket. I have absolutely 0 critiques, and 0 complaints. John Lattuca may have to open a place in Seattle so I don’t go broke flying to Quebec for dinner. Outstanding place. Thank you Pitmaster Latucca, and staff for the amazing experience.

My friend and I were looking for Bbq and stumbled across this place on google maps. The service we got was impeccable and the food was just as good as it looks! We got the sharing plate with 3 meats and 3 sides. All the sides (mac and cheese, coleslaw, and beans) were flavourful and all of the meats (smoked chicken, beef rib, brisket) were tender and moist. I’d love to come back to try the other meats next time! The atmosphere was cozy as well and we were sat by the window.

Amazing find in Montreal. Visiting from Scotland & England and can’t find anywhere as tasty as this was in the UK!
Food had so much flavour and taste with lots of options to choose from… we had to try everything!

The atmosphere was casual comfort. The brisket was absolutely the best I’ve ever had! The portion was huge and I had lovely leftovers the following day. The owner is kind, knowledgeable and clearly skilled as a pit master!

We ordered the sharing platter for three people — two beef portions and one pork rib. The portions were huge! I’m someone with a really big appetite, but I couldn’t even finish it.
The flavors were absolutely unforgettable. The smoky charcoal aroma combined with the rich, juicy meat was just incredible. Every bite was packed with flavor and left a lasting impression.
This is truly authentic BBQ, both in taste and in portion size. It’s a great place to come with friends or family, and one that I would happily return to. Highly recommended if you’re looking for delicious, hearty barbecue in Montréal!

Both the beef ribs and the chicken were amazing. Seriously good. But the hot side dishes were all cold. As for service, I cannot stress how terrible it was. Firstly there’s no menu, so you have no idea what anything costs. Our drinks arrived after 30 minutes, we were never given napkins, our order was given to another table, and instead of fixing it the server just disappeared. We had to fix it amongst ourselves. Oh and I was asked if we want the bill while I was still eating. I might do takeout for the ribs again, but this is not a place one should be dining in if this is the standard service.

I recently visited this BBQ place and paid around CAD 38 for my meal. Unfortunately, I left feeling a bit disappointed, mainly because of the portion size.
The brisket portion was surprisingly small — only about four small pieces, which didn’t feel worth the price. Along with that, I got three pieces of chicken, mac and cheese, and smoked beans. While the sides, especially the mac and cheese and smoked beans, were actually quite good and flavorful, the overall meal felt unbalanced due to the limited amount of meat.
For a BBQ restaurant charging nearly forty dollars per plate, I expected larger servings and better value. The food quality was decent, but the portions made it hard to justify the cost.
Overall: Tasty sides, but disappointing portion sizes for the price.

I was introduced to this style BBQ around 8 years ago by a good friend. I was apprehensive about how this experience would go as it’s mostly just meat. We took a share platter with all 5 meats. After the first bite, that instant tender, melt in your mouth, smokey meat hit my palate just right. That beef rib is the best rib I’ve ever eaten. This meal is not for everyone, but I can honestly say that if you like BBQ, try LATTUCA once in your life. If you like Texas style BBQ, this is the place to be. They also have a nice variety of alcohol to go with the meal.
Since going 8 years ago, I’ve tried to share this experience with other BBQ enthusiasts every chance I’ve had. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The owner is very down to earth and a great host. Even though he is extremely busy managing and trying to cater to everyone, he tries his best to cordially convers with all of his guests.

We come to Lattuca BBQ year after year all the way from Ontario, and every single visit reminds us why this place is unbeatable. The smoked meat here is absolutely phenomenal—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor that rivals the best Texas barbecue.
The brisket melts in your mouth, the ribs are perfection, and the sides complement everything beautifully. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can feel the passion behind every dish.

You don’t know an amazing brisket until you have gone to lattuca barbecue. It was tender, juicy and everything you want in brisket. The pulled pork was also delicious even a person who hates pork ate it and loved it. The staff was also amazing and they made me feel at home. Overall I would recommend this to everyone I know. This was a 10/10
