Hurricane location had terrible employees. There was zero sense of urgency. I waited in line for 20 minutes and there was ONE person in front of me, also waiting. Like what were we waiting for? The big dude behind the counter seemed to be trying to only use one hand to make our meals…was his other hand broken? It was not. I saw him use it once. Super weird experience. The dude that took our order made each tortilla fresh and even threw the first one away because it had a small crack in it. Love the attention to detail but geez I’d have to go in there when they are busy! Food was good. I suppose that’s what I came for. Portions have gotten smaller and prices higher but that’s pretty normal across the board everywhere.

We have had so many problems here that we have finally given up. We actually got excited that Cafe Rio was opening, but it’s even worse. Fortunately, we have a few great local Mexican restaurants in Hurricane. These fast casual chains have really gone downhill. It’s too bad. Costa Vida used to be a favorite. If you do eat here, be sure to check your order before you leave.

Costa Vida Mexican Grill is one of the best spots around to eat. The food always comes out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Kaelan the manager is the best super chill, friendly, and makes sure every customer gets taken care of. You can tell he really cares about the place and how the food tastes.
The tacos con chorizo are easily my favorite thing on the menu. The flavor is spicy but not too much, juicy, and cooked just right. You can taste the seasoning and how well it’s made. Every bite hits the same real quality.
The place always has good energy, clean tables, and fast service. You never have to wait long, and the staff is respectful. If you go, ask for Kaelan. He’ll make sure you leave happy and full. Costa Vida is a solid spot all around.

I wish I could copy paste my review from their stores site where I left my previous review. But this is the second time we were served queso looking like this. It was cold, grainy, awkwardly thick, and absolutely 100% OLD. (I really wish I got a video of me running a spoon through it to just show the texture ) You do not get old, crusty rings along the side if it is even close to fresh. The staff were rude and poorly trained at the drive thru tonight. Asking, “is that it” after every meal or edit I’m making to that meal is so beyond rude and would have anyone feeling rushed. I’m very pregnant and was really looking forward to that queso. So maybe I am a bit more bitter, but more than once this has happened with poor food quality. I can almost guarantee they scraped the bottom of the pot, burnt bits and old, dried out bits along the side, into the overpriced, tiny cup we were served. I don’t care spending a pretty penny for good food. But this was not good food and unfortunately not work our money tonight.

I like there diverse menu, makes it easy to switch out different meats and toppings to cater my food to my liking.

I have been going to the Hurricane Utah location since they bought it from Durangos. I’ve been quite satisfied with the quality of the food and the size of the portions until the past year (2025). The portions have shrunk significantly and the prices have raised. You would think that one or the other would happen but not both. Since they remodel a few weeks ago it has dropped off dramatically. I’ve been there 4 times since they have reopened and I have been greatly disappointed each time. At first I attributed the long wait times and the small portions to the fact that they are rushed and trying to figure out the new layout and staff. But yesterday was probably the last time I will be going there for a while. They were out of steak (would be a 10 minute wait on top of the 20 minutes I was standing in line up to this point). The shredded beef was my more liquid than meat. The size of the regular salad is the same size the small use to be and the small salad is about 75% what it use to be.
A long-time customer has been let down and possibly lost. I’ll probably give it another try in the next few months, but until then I’ll be going Cafe Rio.

I will not be eating here again. The guy making my burrito put it into the roaster, walked into the side room, started eating something, then came back out to finish making my food. Never once changed or even took off his gloves. Safe to say I did not eat the burrito and will not be coming back.

Visited with my grandbabies tonight and the food was awful. The chicken was undercooked and the presentation of the food was sloppy. The dining was subpar. I don’t know if I can take my grandbabies back again since the food was like a health hazard.

The food was fantastic and the service was super patient especially the nice girl IVY she made my experience 10x better . However the atmosphere has somewhat lost its magic from the huge blue water tank it use to have. Other then that, overall a well balanced meal

i’ve gone through the drive through three times now and everytime they have messed up my order big time. giving me the wrong meat, missing toppings, or wrong meal completely. do not recommend unless you are physically going inside and watching them make it.
