Our Executive Chef Andy Xu takes pride in his thoughtful selections here, as well as at our sister restaurants The Odeon and Café Luxembourg. Whether you need that charming place for a date, are in search of the perfect brunch, or just want the best steak frites in town – you will be glad you came to the West Village’s famous Cafe Cluny. Due to demand, we are unable to hold your reservation past the time it has been booked. If you are not present at the time of your reservation, we will offer the table to waiting guests. A very friendly and welcoming restaurant in a great location in Greenwich Village, with perfect food. My steak and fries were excellent and the grilled chicken was perfect. The bartender was very friendly and the service was professional and attentive… but it lacked a little empathy and genuine warmth to make it feel like a real French brasserie… Still, a very good place to eat!

Highly recommended. Enjoyed lunch here on a weekday so enjoyed the airy atmosphere as opposed to the packed weekend crowd. Friendly and attentive service, excellent food prepared very well and serves hot, broad variety of food. A must is the French onion soup! The spaghetti duck bolognese is also exceptional. Enjoy!

Cute French cafe. I recommend ordering to share. The oysters were great, felt very fresh. I got the kale Caesar salad with an extra of chicken – it was a nice surprise to see they brought out a full piece of roasted chicken, very tasty. The place is small so it’s great for a couple or small group. Service was quite slow. Prices are high.

We live in the neighborhood and else have come often for brunch and dinner both. While the food is good (love the burger and specials) and the lighting is great, the host at the front truly makes this place somewhere we and our friends have begun avoiding. The gentleman in the front is always unkind and rude to a point where you wonder why he is in the service industry. It’s a bummer that he acts so meanly to customers, especially those who come by often. We will be avoiding, unfortunately.
