Visiting and I wanted something good. This hit the spot. Huge portion of carnitas Mexicanas, and basically all meat. The flavor was deep and rich. I wouldn’t call it spicy, but seasoned perfectly.

I stopped by this Mexican place and got the grilled chicken combo with a burrito and a taco. There were a few options to choose from, but I went with those, and I’m glad I did.
The grilled chicken was super tasty, juicy, tender, and full of that nice smoky flavor. The burrito was packed with chicken and cheese, plus some rice and refried beans, and it all came together really well. The taco was crispy and fresh, with a bit of lime that made it pop.
The portions were great for the price, and everything tasted fresh. I’d definitely come back for this combo again.

El Charro had great food and excellent service. Doesn’t matter what time you go, lunch or dinner rush is handled quickly and the staff communicate how long an order will take. The warm chips and salsa they bring you as soon as you sit down are fabulous.
The restrooms are clean. The bar is a great looking space.
The restaurant is kid friendly, they put families in areas which don’t interrupt the sports game viewers at the bar or the party room.

Went on Valentines Day, which we knew would be busy. However, took just over an hour to get our meals, waitress was not very quick about taking our order or bringing us drinks to begin with. I ordered the shrimp burrito (pictured) was cold from sitting in the kitchen and my fiance’s dish was piping hot. My food was not edible, the shrimp was not cooked and had a strange seasoning. I was not even asked if there was a problem with my food after pushing it to the side and not eating it. The girl clearing the tables was slamming plates causing startling noise every so often. Would not recommend and definitely not returning for the price I paid.

This is my absolute favorite, authentic Mexican restaurant in immediate Latham area. They just updated the interior and the ambience is awesome. The food has always been great. I’ve tried many different items on the menu, always consistent flavor. Even the bar area is an enjoyable place to dine. Right after you are seated, you are greeted with warm chips and delicious salsa. The service is top-tier I have never had a bad experience. I really enjoy coming here.

Really great fajitas! I’ve had both the shrimp and just vegetables and they are both good. I am flexitarian so it’s nice that they have a large vegetarian menu. Fast service.

My family’s favorite Mexican spot! We drive by at least 3 others places coming from our house to get there. We’ve been coming for years! Food is always consistently delicious, fabulous service, everyone goes out of their way to take care of you. KB is awesome and we are always greeted by his friendly hello and wave even when we aren’t blessed with him as our server. My 2 boys love asking to go, in fact, it’s the only FULL meal at a dinner they’ll eat! Elizabeth was our server tonight and even on a busy Friday night she was attentive to our needs and beyond nice. Always recommend El Charro to anyone!

First timer with family for dinner. Nice dining area with good separation from other diners. High backed booths added to this. I can see why folks like this place, but it just didn’t live up to the hype. My carna asada was over cooked and somewhat grisly. The rice and beans were warm not hot. Chips were HOT and the salsa was fresh so there was that.

I came in from out of town for work and decided to come here. I’m Glad I did the service was great the bartender Isabella is amazing super sweet and runs her butt off ! She was making drink after drink and never ignored her other customers at the same time. I came in because I wanted somewhere to watch the football game. I ordered the “Chori Pollo “ lunch portion and it was more than enough the chicken could be seasoned a tad more but overall I give it an 8/10 I added bell peppers and it sealed the deal for me ! The rice was cooked perfectly. I paired it with “Cantartio Loco “ which is a casimagos and grapefruit drink and she made it perfectly. The pricing is decent I will definitely be coming back here again !
