stopped by this place for a quick breakfast and ended up having a really pleasant experience. Right away I noticed the cozy, home-style atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. Even though the restaurant was quite busy and packed with people, we were seated surprisingly fast, which was a great start to the morning.
The service was excellent — quick, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The staff made us feel very welcome, and you could tell they truly care about their customers. Honestly, many restaurants could learn a thing or two about hospitality from Gabe’s because the service here feels natural and authentic.
The food was also fantastic. Everything tasted delicious and had that comforting, homemade quality, like something you’d enjoy at home. What makes it even better is that the prices are very affordable, so you get great value for a really satisfying meal. Definitely a place worth visiting for breakfast!

We stopped in on our way to the zoo one morning. We were able to get a table quickly, and the service was friendly and quick. We got the chicken and waffles along with the 222 meal deal along with the house drip coffee. The quality and quantity of food for the price was outstanding. We also overheard the staff welcoming regulars, and it gave a warm, friendly vibe about the whole experience. If you are in the area on visiting the zoo, it is worth a visit.

What a charming little diner!! I’m not sure what has taken me so long to check this place out but it will be on my go-to list from now on. The waitress was so friendly and down-to-earth. The whole vibe inside was inviting and just like a home away from home. My Mediterranean omelette was delicious I will definitely recommend this spot to others!

Really glad I came here today. This is the best breakfast I had in a while. I splurged, and I don’t regret it.
I ordered the Mediterranean Omelette off the breakfast specials menu. This thing is loaded with spinach, olives, and especially feta cheese, which is bursting out when i cut into it. Delightful.
The potatoes are extra crispy on top, which frankly I think is the right way to do it. I don’t think there were any spices on them, with salt and pepper on the table, and hot sauce dropped off with the meal.
The coffee was good and not too strong. I haven’t found the bottom of my cup, and anytime I desired service, it was there before I knew it. Thank you.
The music isn’t too loud, which is such a common problem at other places; thank you for not overstimulating me. The building is quaint and classic, comfortable and not flashy. I didn’t even put on my headphones here.
There are plants above the dividers, and hanging by the window; I think they are all real and living. What an invitation this is to bring my own life in.
I went on a weekday around noon. I was able to park right next to the door. They have parking on both sides of the restaurant, with doors on both sides. They’re a convenient short drive from the 490, and situated on a corner with entry from both cross streets. I can see the bus stop across the street too.
The prices were very fair. My whole meal with tax and a great tip is gonna be less than just the meal at many other places. Easy to justify returning.
One of life’s great pleasures is finding a diner off the highway that obviously cares about making its guests feel at home. Heartily, bravo.

Really nice breakfast spot. The prices are good, and the food was excellent! Couldn’t pass up the steak and eggs, and I’m glad I didn’t. For the price it was really good and a pretty huge amount of steak. Steak, 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes, and toast for 9.99 is a great deal right now. Will definitely be back
