We had dinner and everything was very good. Breakfast all day. We had the Bacon Breakfast Burrito, Stuffed Sopapillas with ground beef, a side of menudo (very good menudo and clran) and chicharron. The green chile was tasty, the salsa was pretty warm but good, and the red chili
was pretty good too.

Tried their Chicken Chalupa, Taco salad with chicken, and a tamale.
They were all good.

Don’t let the look of the outside deter you! The food is delicious! The outside name sign isn’t very visible, so look for the sign that says “cafe”.
I had the taco salad with chicken. Everything was fresh and crisp. He had the Navajo Taco with beef and green. Everything was delicious.
Service was very good and everyone was nice. If we lived here, we would be here regularly.

This restaurant may be one of Santa Fe’s best!! Extremely clean, for starters. The service is cheerful and really fast!! I’ve been eating rellenos across New Mexico on this trip, and tonight was a continuation of my quest for the best. El Comal has to be in the running. Pablanos!! The chilis had great flavor. The house salsa was also top notch. Les had pancakes, eggs and bacon. The bacon was perfect!! If I lived here, this restaurant would be on my frequent diners rotation.

Please don’t let the location and the atmosphere stop you from missing out on this gem of a restaurant. The food is superb. The service even better. I’m so glad I ate there. I had a shredded beef stuffed sopapilla. The beef was perfectly seasoned. Both the red and green chili were delicious. Too bad I’m a wimp and couldn’t handle the heat. My husband had a combination burrito. He said it was also delicious. If I lived near here I’d be a regular guest.

Just finished supper and laying on the bed with that little burn in my mouth from good spicy food. I have love spicy Mexican food since I was a baby white boy. Ordered Mexican food world wide. A place like this comes along once a decade. Do not shy away from the vegetarian sopapinas. They were fresh chilies and other stuff and the green sauce makes it come alive. The red sauce is more mole and rich chili flavored. Please go here so they can succeed then get a location that is a little more access greedily. Turn after the car wash. I would go with the cheese enchiladas. Order extra sour cream, this place will give it to you. I want to move to Santa Fe NM!

This was a great restaurant with lots of flavor packed in a little place! We had the Carne Adovado Sopapilla and Huevos Rancheros. A basket with a freshly-made tortilla and sopapilla also accompanied our meal. Those were the best tortillas and sopapillas I’ve had in years! There’s also honey on the tables so you can have a sweet Sopapilla at the end of your meal!

I had the Santa Fe omelette smothered in Red/Green chili, it came with beans, fried potatoes, guacamole, and garnish shredded lettuce and toamato The portions were perfect, and the quality and flavor of the food was great. All of our food was delicious. The staff was attentive and very friendly. In the photos is a picture with the Santa Fe omelette, Huevos Rancheros, and a breakfast burrito with red/green chili. I would recommend coming here if you’re in the area or even just passing through.

Stopped in for dinner tonight, had an amazing experience. Chips and salsa almost immediately upon sitting down, drinks quickly after. Our food maybe took 10 minutes. Tonight we had the vegetable enchiladas with green chili and the vegetable burrito with red sauce. Everything was so fresh and clearly made homemade. We both finished our plates very quickly. Normally after eating a similar amount of food at a Mexican restaurant I feel bloated or discomfort- we felt no discomfort or bloating. It was an amazing meal and we can’t wait to return. Next time I would love to try the stuffed sopapillas, the free sopapillas served with our meal were amazing. I think we spent $32 which isn’t bad at all especially for such good food.

We stayed in a nearby hotel and chose to eat here. We were not disappointed. This is a locals, comfort New Mexico food spot. The prices were average, service was good. Will definitely return next time in Santa Fe.

I absolutely love this place. Every time I travel out to New Mexico, I have to stop and grab a bite to eat.
The establishment is always clean, the service is quick, and the food gives me an at home feeling the plate reaches my table. Like when grandma handing you a meal she prepared for you.
The red and green sauce is base standard that I judge other New Mexican eateries. Flavorful with a nice kick. Enchiladas are always on my list to get here, especially the blue corn tortilla ones.
If you’re looking for authentic New Mexican food, this should be on your list. This is a hidden gem of the Santa Fe area.
Also don’t forget to look at the whiteboard for special you won’t see in the menu.

My pictures are of the Combo Grande, a half eaten enchilada (couldn’t resist before taking a picture ), and a stuff sopaipilla de chicharron.
