Well we heard the pizza here was fantastic, the place has been around since 1955 and it shows, time to remodel and upgrade, and what is with the el toro/luigis? 1st visit here, ordered a Margherita Pizza and a antipasta salad, salad was ok, iceberg lettuce, 2 tomatoes, black olives, and pepperchinos, cheese and salami, we were told the dressing was homemade, Again the salad was ok, now the pizza is no where near fantastic, overcooked with cheese and tomatoes with dried basil sprinkled on top, sorry but Jets is 20x better that what I ate. The place needs a remodel, the furniture appears to be from the 50’s, I am 6 foot and my knees where hitting the other side of the booth because they are so small. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place, to many other fabulous food place in the area.

This is one of my all time favorite places to get Italian food! My daughter and I make the 45 minute drive every few months to fulfill our craving! Everything we have tried has been amazing. They have the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had! It comes loaded with chicken, tomatoes and even hard boiled eggs! It also has onion but I’m not a huge raw onion fan so I get no onion. Their breadsticks our to die for. As our the marinara and alfredo sauces. I usually always get whatever soup is on special which is always good. I finally tried their pizza for the 1st time on our most recent visit. The crust is super thin and somehow tasted even better for my lunch the next day. If you like Italian food, definitely check them out!

We got carry out after a Flint Firebirds game and we were there faster than we realized we would be so I had a drink at the bar while my husband had water, bartender was great & the margarita was too. We both ordered different pizzas and they were great! I highly recommend the white pizza with chicken added, chicken alfredo pizza basically and it was delicious! I will add I am ridiculously picky so not even having a tiny thing I didn’t like is big for me lol OH plus the cheese bread I could order just to devour myself… but I did share with the husband this time. Will be back for sure & a bonus is being Firebirds season ticket holders we get a discount too (I would order again without the discount though)

Quick friendly service with massive portion sizes! Rich flavors and great quality! Very loud atmosphere, busy when we went in the evening– a big football theme, as it is a sports bar. Cheese bread is the GOAT.

I decided to eat here after an uber rider convinced me to check it out and I was hungry…I ordered the angel hair pasta with chicken and added mushroom…with it I got a nice size side salad and fresh baked bread…definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza or pasta and is driving in this area.

Absolutely best pizza ever! My pops used to take us here as kids and we’d play the jukebox (1980’s) and shuffle board and now as an adult I’ve brought many people there and it’s now their favorite pizza in town also. When the owner is there he always goes around to the customers tables and checks in to see if they are enjoying the food, which I find really authentic, I recommend this place, also it’s a deal breaker, because if I ever take someone there and they don’t like the pizza, I know they must be nuts so I have to get rid of them immediately!

i ordered extra sauce and there was hardly any sauce at all. I split a pizza with my daughter and her half had mushrooms and i have to say she had 2/3 of the pizza which was supposed to be half but all her slices with 2x larger than the sliced i got for my side. It seemed like all my slices were smaller
We also got the 1/4 load with pepperoni and that was good
My wife got a stromboli which was about the size of the 1/4 loaf appetizer we got and it was not worth 15 bucks with the 3 topping she got it was tiny and she said mostly cheese inside

Needless to say not too impressed with that order

The food was good.
I was referred here by some friends that said it was the best pizza in town and i can’t agree with that. Again hardly no sauce when i ordered extra sauce
the split in half pizza was more of 2/3 and the stromboli for 15 bucks is definitely not worth getting

Service was great we had a couple drinks at the bar and they were great as well as the bartenders
Everyone was super friendly
Overall it was ok just not sure about spending that much again and will not order the stromboli or split a pizza again but will get their own and disable check the sauce

I was patron of Luigis for years and years, back in the 80s and 90s. I had not been there for years and decided to take my daughter and her family there. What a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Although the staff were extremely pleasant, the food was AWFUL. I paid 12.75 for a half of a Greek salad. Is was ALL lettuce with about 6 green olives a disgusting amount beets and VERY LITTLE feta cheese. That’s not a Greek salad. The Greek dressing was TERRIBLE. My daughter asked for Italian dressing instead and what they brought was NO DIFFERENT than the Greek dressing. The waitress said they are almost EXACTLY alike. Why offer different dressings if they are the same? The pizza was just OK. It most certainly was NOT the pizza of the past. SO, SO, SO DISAPPOINTING.

My family and I had a great meal at Luigi’s in Flint. The “El Toro” had us second guessing if we had the right place, ha ha (looking for pizza restaurant).

The thin crust pizza was very tasty! Loved the taste of the sauce and pizza had a great crust/sauce/cheese ratio! Breadsticks were also very good (so good that we had to get another order).

Loved the ambience of this place!!! Plenty of great items to check our on the walls. Our server Siera was exceptional, very friendly and efficient! Definitely worth the trip! Thanks for the recommendation Lions Tom!

FYI – They do have a credit card surcharge, so bring cash if you don’t want to pay that.
