Great chicken dumpling soup. The broth is the perfect saltiness. There is a lot of dumpling and I don’t think any chicken.

We stopped by about a half hour before they closed for the day. The staff was friendly. The menu has many sandwich options including wraps and melts along with burgers. The food had decent flavor and the slaw was good. Simple fare at reasonable prices in a diner which reminded me of the places we went to for meals as a child in the 70s. Nothing ostentatious and the facility was very clean.

Food was excellent, had the broasted chicken, chili, chicken dumpling soup (had homemade dumplings!) and root beer float. Service was fast, server was timely and very personable. Not from the area, but will definitely stop again when passing through!

First time visiting the place. Found a table at a busy time, always a plus. Served right away, and food came fast and hot. Coffee was fresh. We tried the chicken dumpling soup, excellent did want to bring a quart home! Also, tuna melt and BLT, so we went halfsies. The breakfast coming out looked great, too, with large portions. We’re not from the area but would definitely go back.

Would love to give 5 stars but when the in house root beer comes out flat no bubbles at all and its because its suppose to taste like old fashioned root beer.. no.. not even in house made A&W serves it like that.

I love Mikes Place Family Restaurant. This “place” has such good energy. I always get the country breakfast, it’s amazing and delicious in the morning. Highly recommend for couples, families, and anyone else.

Picked up a Mexican Breakfast Wrap and a piece of apple pie on my way to work this morning. This will be enough for my breakfast and lunch today and at least breakfast again tomorrow. $15, including tip. That’s not much more than I pay at McDonald’s and I got real food and three times as much. Can’t wait to dig in!
I’m also recommending the haddock. I tried it a couple of weeks ago and it was delicious and perfectly cooked.

I love quaint places that are locally owned with fabulous food and a neighbor knows neighbors atmosphere. Mikes place is that. I have not been there in decades and going back with newer management still had that close feel of home. And the food was great! Also I had root beer in addition to what’s in the picture.

Fish portions very small, serving by staff very poor please do not go there if you’re in oshkosh two bites me n wife got up and left and very poor waitress talked to manager mike and all we got was a o ok think twice people we spent are hard earned dollars on this to get and o ok not even to justify situation.makes u think
