It is the best lahmacun I had in the US, yet it is not better than the average quality in Turkey. The lahmacun was super thin, which is good to give it a crispy texture. Yet it was soft enough to be rolled. The ingredients (veggies and meat) were good. One problem was the excessive fat in the lahmacun. It was obvious from the first bite as the fat covers your mouth. And, it was also apparent after the meal as the fat disturbs your digestion system. Otherwise, the service was great, tea was nice. Music could be quieter.
I also tried the spinach pide. It was good too but it had a fat problem too.

We went for breakfast, and it was fantastic. The pides and the breakfast platter were just as delicious as what you’d find in Turkey. Even the bread was warm, fresh, and really amazing.

We love the food here, especially Lamachun. I am not a big fan of Turkish cuisine. Before my arrival, I didn’t expect too much. But OMG from the first bite, it’s so flavorful and mouthwatering. Muchhhh. My Turkish friends said the lamachun in here is better than in Turkey

Best Turkish restaurant in New Jersey. I’ve been coming here since they’re opening in 2001. They just remodeled it. It looks great. The best Turkish pizza I’ve ever eaten. And they have awesome Pide as well!!!! Fatima is the best, Thank you!

Recommended for healthy option instead of a pizza restaurant. Family friendly.
Definitely recommend to wash it away with a glass of tea at the end.

This is our favorite stop every time we drive back from snowboarding. The restaurant is incredibly clean, especially the bathrooms, which makes me feel confident the kitchen is just as spotless. The service is attentive and thoughtful, always checking in and bringing anything we need. The food is delicious every time. The closed pide is my favorite, and the mercimek çorbası is so comforting and authentic. It truly tastes like home, the closest you can get to eating in Turkey. Such a cozy, reliable spot we always look forward to visiting.

Star Pride in Paterson deserves every bit of five stars. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and welcoming the place was. The staff is incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable — they really go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of.
Whether it’s a regular service or something more specific, they’re efficient and never try to upsell you on things you don’t need. I’ve been to other places before, but Star Pride sets the standard. You can tell they actually care about their customers and take pride in their work.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for top-quality service with a smile. I won’t be going anywhere else!

We’ve been coming to Star Pide Restaurant for a long time, both for meals and recently for breakfast. The food has always been delicious, and when we tried their breakfast, we were very pleased. A wide variety of cheeses, olives, jams, fresh vegetables, warm bread, and a nice cup of tea made it a truly satisfying and enjoyable breakfast.
The staff are also very friendly and attentive, always trying to help. You can really find both quality and sincerity here, whether it’s for a meal or breakfast. Highly recommended!

We went there for breakfast this morning, and the food was delicious, definitely worth it. They’re not the kind of place that nickel-and-dimes you by charging for everything. They serve tea for free. It’s not about the money, it’s about the quality and being good to customers. When we were leaving, the owner even gave my kids chocolate, which was such a kind gesture. That kind of hospitality is rare to find these days. I really appreciate this place, they fully deserve 5 stars. I wish we had this level of Turkish hospitality in every city in the US. Definitely will come back again when I visit NJ.
