Good food with a very diverse menu. It’s a large open bar with lots of TVs but can get loud on a busy night. Kitchen was a bit slow but everything did come out hot. Really enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Good for a casual meal with friends or family.

The atmosphere of this place was extremely nice, being slightly cold with delicious smells of fresh food coming at us from every direction. We got seated and our waitress was very polite. We put in our orders and waited for a surprisingly long time for 3 orders. Our other group, however, got their food at a reasonable time. The food was hot and fresh, with my favorite food being their custom Mac-cheese. The nachos were slightly soggy, however, and some of the food could use more seasoning. Would recommend coming here, especially on a cold weekend night.

Thirsty Moose Tap House in Merrimack is a solid choice for hanging out with friends over tap brew and a small plate meal. There are plenty of large screen televisions here to satisfy any sports fan. To say the room is spacious is an understatement; try cavernous. You could play regulation basketball in here, so one could expect it to get loud when the place is near capacity. My review is based on a midday midweek visit when only a handful of tables were occupied and a similar number of patrons were seated at the bar. The menu here is a notch above standard pub fare and has a nice variety of options. The Bullwinkle Burger, cooked to order, was excellently tasty and juicy; the Fries were very good. There are a great many excellent brews on tap so don’t be afraid to ask for a recommendations. Service is outstanding; super friendly and helpful. Very much recommended.

This place is better suited for large groups instead of single diners. Large groups can focus on the epic amount of TV’s and beer, the insanely loud chatter, and less about the flavorless food and inept service. I arrived at 7:20, told the hostess I was alone. She offered me the bar, which is fine, but I don’t drink, and I didn’t want to take a chair from a later group. The Hostess seemed really put off that I requested a table instead, then sat me at thee most precarious table in the entire Taphouse…dead center under a row of TV’s, sat within 12” of a much larger group of guys. It felt awkward and uncomfortable immediately. I should have advocated for myself and requested elsewhere, but it was a bit busy, and her prior reaction told me that it wouldn’t have been a pleasant response. So, I sucked it up. I wasn’t greeted by a server until 7:40. I almost walked out. But, again, I suck it up. I ordered immediately, a BBQ Chicken Wrap with a generous 4 cheese Mac-n-Cheese side. Nearly 30 minutes go by, and the Mgr suddenly comes out, doesn’t introduce himself, just to tell me they’re out of Mac-n-Cheese. Ok, it happens. But, 30 minutes later? I told him just give me what comes with the Chicken Wrap instead…no real loss. (Low key, I wanted that Mac-n-Cheese, though) My server came out 5 min later and repeated the same thing. I told her I told another man to just give me what comes with the wrap instead. She does offer tater tots for free as an option. So, of course, I upgrade to tots. Who wouldn’t? About 15 minutes later, the food runner brings me a Chicken sandwich and tots. I told her I ordered the wrap, and she walked off confused. I mean, I was, too. I told my server twice that I wanted a wrap AND I told her Mgr. Yet, I still got a chicken sandwich. A few minutes later, I got my wrap…and I had to look at it twice. It’s a $17.50 wrap, and it was the same size as a McDonald’s snack wrap. Photo attached for reference. Use the fork as your size guide. I understand prices have gone up. But, this is egregious. Then I get my bill, and the server charged me for the “free upgrade.” It just wasn’t worth the argument. I mean…I get it, sometimes the stars misalign in restaurants. No need for a tantrum. But, my server was a bit snarky and indifferent about it, which I didn’t appreciate. So, I’ll just chalk this up to a far less than desired experience for an out-of-towner at a popular, local watering hole. Just sub par service and attention, and flavorless, overpriced food.

Absolutely amazing food, service and customer service. I’ve eaten here often and never had a bad experience. Ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and pulled pork sliders and got delivery, it arrived and there was barely any pulled pork and sauce and no buffalo on my sandwich. I called and they got the manager on the phone super quick. The manager had our meals remade and delivered to us in a very quick amount of time and it was perfect. They outdid themselves with making things right and were so nice and apologetic about the whole situation! Thank you Thirsty Moose. I’ll be back again soon!

Horrible place. So many better places nearby. Our dinner took 2 hours for a family of 4 without any special food requests etc. We waited at our table for 20 minutes before my wife stopped a random server and asked if we could at least order drinks. They apologized and helped us. The food took forever and was nothing special. The nachos seemed like someone dumped the broken pieces on a platter with a ton of tomatoes and a handful of cheese. I’ve never seen my family stop eating an appetizer prior to this dinner. Our meals eventually came and they were nothing special. I got the ribeye grilled cheese and it was some flavorless meat on white bread with some veggies. It was fine, but not worth the cost. We ordered dessert, but ended up cancelling because it didn’t show up after 20 minutes and we wanted to leave. Good selection of beer, so at least there’s that. I’ll never go back, though.

The restaurant is great inside. Lots of screens to watch the game. The volume was so loud for the number of tables that were seated. That could go down a couple notches. The food was good, not amazing, but definitely good. Got the steak tips. It was more like medallions than tips. You get 4 for the almost $30 dinner. So much liquid on the plate. Not sure if it was from the broccoli or if everything is just wet. The broccoli was supposed to be garlic butter broccoli but it was really garlic water broccoli. The drink I ordered was delicious and strong. Ordered an additional app to receive when we left dinner, but they brought it out just after we got our meals unfortunately. It took about 40 mins between ordering and receiving the meal. Husband got prime rib grilled cheese which he said was really good.

We had a great waitress!! After we finished eating, we were there for another 2 hours talking and she never looked annoyed that we were there. I ordered fish and chips. It was more like fish sticks. I hot 4 sticks. For $19.99 I thought I’d be getting a piece of fish.

Stopped in for lunch and where significantly underwhelmed. Our server had no idea what she was doing and was slow to boot. The place had dozens of tvs tuned to different channels and all blaring loudly. At least the food was reasonably good albeit expensive.
We got the Poutine appetizer which had a nice gravy but instead of cheese curds it had melted cheese. The Cobb salad was really good while the burger and chicken sandwich were ok, but nothing special
The grilled cheese lacked flavor.
Our waitress was a disaster. When asked about a particular beer, she directed us to the menu. When asked about non alcoholic options she “guessed” they offered water. Once we found the beer we wanted on the online menu, and showed it to her, she went “oh” and walked away.
Then there were the interminable delays between her visits. Not sure what she was doing as she was not within our sight lines
We ended up spending about $35 per person which is very high for bar food lunch!!!

Friday lunch? Enjoy, no wait, and good food. The sliders had a nice crispy bun and a juicy burger center. The truffle fries were a little dry but had a ton of flavor! Would come again.
