This place is AMAZING! When we walked in the smell of the food/spices just pulled you in. The food is outstanding and the service is even better. Our server Jesse was so personable and happy to help two Indian food newbies by explaining the different dishes and his recommendations. The service didn’t stop there. He showed us how to eat with real Indian etiquette with the naan bread. The portions and quality of the dishes made you feel like you got more than your moneys worth.
To top it off he found out it was my birthday and gave me a dessert while doubting that I am really 57 today. The elephant ear I chose was divine even though I was so full I could hardly eat another bite but who can resist an elephant ear. I will be returning often with my husband and as many friends as we can get to go out to dinner with us. We will definitely be recommending The Star of India to everyone. If I could give it 6 stars out of 5 I would. They earned the extra credit.

This place did not disappoint. Service was on point and very friendly. Great family atmosphere. The food was amazing. We had the lamb curry and chicken makhani. Best we’ve ever had. The server described the spice levels perfectly. The samosas were packed and crispy. We tried both kinds. And the naan is made fresh to order, I mean, what else can I say there. We had the regular and the star naan. So good! 100% will be back. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

The menu has so many great options! We started off with the Star Appetizer Platter which was very delicious, and we wished we ordered two. (Next time!) Meal wise, we got the Saag w/Lamb, Chilli Chicken, Shrimp Malai, Sabzi w/Star Combo, Makhni w/Chicken, Mango Chicken, and Aloo Gobi for the vegetarian with us. All were amazing, delicious choices! We all shared and tried each others.
Each meal comes with naan (type of flatbread) and rice. The portion sizes are huge and will have you taking leftovers home for sure. And the desserts, too many to name; however, the Strawberry Shortcake Pie and Orange Ricotta Cookies were interested takes on other desserts and extremely delicious!

The food is phenomenal. I never knew i liked Indian food so much! Some say it is pricey but you get enough food in one meal to share and then some. Also it is definitely worth the money. The food is soooo fresh. But best of all is the service. Im confident that I’ve never had better service and never will. Everyone is so nice. Love experiencing other cultures!

Came to Star of India today. While the service was great and the food was good, I was shocked by the pricing. Going from Chicken to Combo option was an additional $8 and going from plain naan which was included to cheese naan upgrade was another $7. Highly doubt if I’ll be returning with more reasonably priced Indians cuisines.

The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic, and the service was equally impressive. All the staff members were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience. We ordered the ‘Dinner for Two’ option, which included an appetizer, a main dish, and dessert. The portion sizes were generous, so much so that we couldn’t finish everything and ended up packing the leftovers. A major highlight for us was the availability of halal meat, which was a thoughtful touch.

Myself and 5 friends were seated immediately. We ordered appetizers and dinners. We chose to eat family-style. It was great to try so many different dishes! The staff was super-friendly and helpful with my gluten-free requirements. The food was served quickly, and we were finished just in time to get to our next event.

Sooooo good! We moved back to the area from Columbus and we are so happy we found this place. The samosas, star naan, and lamb saag were all delicious and the best Indian food we have had in a long time! If the food wasn’t good enough the service was right up there with the food, it’s so nice to see people who are friendly, helpful, and enjoy what they do! I’m not even kidding when I say my partner saw the person behind me licking his plate! We will definitely be back.

Great food and awesome people, I always come here for curry when I’m in town. Seemas Sweets has the best vegan desserts around (her cinnamon cheesecake is my all time favorite) AND the earrings available here are adorable!! They’re very well made papercraft & bead earrings and I always get compliments on my pair!
