Was excited to come and try their food. We live somewhat local and have never been here. My daughter ordered a rodeo burger medium well, it was burnt. I ordered a taco salad, shell was good but the rest not so much. The taco meat was very cold and the salsa tasted very sweet. My other half ordered a Bronco Chiclen sandwich. It was very dry and had hardly any bbq sauce on it. He got a side of chili that had no flavor at all. The server never refilled drinks, never asked how everything was. When speaking with us she was friendly I will give her that. Rather disappointed especially for the price. Won’t be back.

We came with four of us and really enjoyed it. Service was friendly and quick. Prices and food portions are reasonable. We ended up splitting a meal and adding salads. Soup and chicken were delicious. We also appreciated that there was sound-deadening material to make it easy to talk.

I really hate to have to leave this review but it is by far the worst food I have had a restaurant ever. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich that was flavorless, dry as hell and tasted burnt. The chili was also tasteless and nasty (I’ve had better chili at fast food places). My wife got the taco salad, the meat was cold and flavorless, the shell was good. My daughter got a burger that was also dry, burnt and flavorless. The service was ok at best, my pop sat empty and didn’t get a refill until I asked for the bill to leave. I only took 2 biyes of the chili and 3 biyes of my sandwich and I felt sick to my stomach. Within 10 minutes I was in tje bathroom with the shits. We will never go tjere again. $60 + for lunch for 3. McDonald’s down the road would have been a far better option and we hate fast food. I prefer to leave good reviews, but this place absolutely sucked! Usually I will give a place 3 tries before making a decision but this is an obvious no go for us, ever again!

This place was such a great last minute find. Excellent food. Literally the best. Homemade ranch and blue cheese. The asparagus soup was so good and a first for us. The carrot cake was delish and the jolly rancher drinks were so yummy. Highly highly recommend.

We came to Silver Lake for a week of camping. The owner suggested Open Hearth and we are glad he did! I read excellent reviews and saw a lot of good things about their fried asparagus. It’s seasonal and near the end, so I’m glad we ordered some. My wife and kids don’t like asparagus but I do, and I demolished the entire order. Service is very friendly and the food was delicious! Beer was good too. Lake perch, grilled ham and cheese, and Caesar salad are featured in the pics (and the asparagus). My wife said nay-nay to me snapping a pic of her plate. We would definitely come back!

First time here. Big nice clean place. We started off with the deep fried asparagus which was exceptional. I had the full slab of ribs and my wife had the country beef melt. Good size portions, great sides. My wife loved her entree, the ribs were on the dry side. Wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again.

Great little spot to grab a meal. Service was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Wife had the fresh perch and it was hot and delicious. Daughter had the beer and cheese soup and the chicken Alfredo which was also tasty (huge portion). Son had the kids cheeseburger which he crushed. I had the open faced hearth burger which was not bad. The molten chocolate dessert was fantastic. Warn chocolate cake with hot fudge and caramel sauce with a side of vanilla ice cream. The kids destroyed it. Can definitely recommend this one!
