One of the places I miss from Mount Vernon, went back to visit friends and we decided to go for dinner to el torito. We were going for the chicken soup, I have seen it before on the menu, and sounded really good for a cold winter night. Surprise they also had mojarra frita ( fried tilapia) . I ordered the mojarra frita , my friend’s the soup. We couldn’t decide which one was more delicious. Tasty, flavored, well cooked. Would definitely come back for more.

I highly recommend El Torito! Me and my boyfriend always come eat here. They have amazing food, good prices, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming! I am vegetarian and have no problem finding food here either. I recommend everyone come stop by and support their business, it is #1 in our book!

While traveling, open on Thanksgiving day…We love Mexican food and this restaurant was walking distance from a hotel, so we opted to stay instead of moving on. We got our order to go, but the restaurant was nice and staff was accommodating. The food and salsas were outstanding! Mmmm GOOD!

Truck! Truckers! Come here and get yourself a savory meal with flavor!!! You can bring your whole truck and trailer, you may have to park in next lot but you can get in and out. Food is so good! Hot and fresh and sealed in nice packaging.

Out in the area. Google sent us here. Pulling in, we were a little worried. Not many cars. Google had them at a 4.3, so we decided to try it out.

Stopping in Mount Vernon for an overnight and found this excellent restaurant. Start with chips and salsa along with a marvelous margarita and a great beer selection. We shared a ranchero fajita for two. There was enough food for six and it was delicious. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. They get all five stars from me.

Amazing authentic Mexican experience! . We loved it from the moment we walked in. Warm welcome “Olah!” From the staff – Tasty warm chips and delicious salsa as we sat down. Lucky for us it was Margarita night $5.99 Delicious!

We couldn’t decide, so asked our server (who turned out to be the owner, Edgar ) to bring us his best based on a few things we like. So glad we did! Best Mexican meal I’ve ever had – steak, chicken, shrimp fajitas with all the sides – amazing flavour! The prices are incredibly fair for all you get. Friendly atmosphere and excellent service.
Edgar has two more locations in Paducah, KY – this is where he started “from ground zero”.

My server was amazing! She was very helpful and informative about the menu. Can’t wait to get back over there again. The ONLY thing! Be SURE to keep your hotel door key if you plan to get the advertised discounts. Hotel receipts and checkin slips don’t count!
