Updated – Beer Cheese Burger is usually my go-to and a flight of some crazy variety of brews! However, I am re-doing my review because I need to, I am not normally impressed with this place but Damn, Nashville Hot is and I love it! The Service was on point and the Beers were actually there! Cool place to grab some great pizza! The only negative is how long we waited to be seated. It was lunch, and very few people were in the place. Multiple workers walked past us, but we still stood for like 5 minutes.
Not a big deal, though, because once we were seated the service was great and the food came out hot and fast.
The pepperoni rolls (pictured) were amazing, and the pizzas were, too! The one in the photo is the Meat Me Chicago style with hand tossed ale crust.

Not an ideal spot and here’s why:
– ordered a salad to split with everyone and the kale was yellow and wilted
– chose the “Detroit-style” Farmer’s Daughter pizza and it barely had any flavor. All you could taste was the balsamic vinegar, which the pizza was completely covered. The pizza was not really done well enough, too soft, to make it a Detroit style pizza. Finally, the arugula on top was wilted and tasteless.
The drink selection was great and the waitress was really nice. I believe I ordered a beachfront IPA, which was actually really good. We also noticed a cook/bus walking in and out of the kitchen having either smoked or vaped. When it comes to cooking food, you shouldn’t be doing that in a restaurant, at least when it’s open.
Overall, we were pretty disappointed in our Old Chicago experience and don’t really envision ourselves coming back.

12/18/22- It has been years since I have been to this place. I thought I would give it a try again since a friend wanted to eat there. I got their sampler platter as my meal because I wanted to try a few different things from their menu. The best thing on the plate was the Italian nachos, but they were more of a novelty then actually good. The mozzarella sticks were really rubbery and bland. The dipping sauce was bland. The roll things were only slightly better. The service was about average for this type of restaurant.

Very disappointing. Have given many chances, but has always underdelivered. Multiple (3+) times to0-go orders have been messed up, including wrong ingredients on pizzas, not giving correct sides (which cost approx $2 extra), and just generally mediocre food. Finally, the last time we went (and last time we will ever go) my partner got their grilled chicken sandwich which was raw!! (see pics) Pathetic

We went for dinner last night, and we had a decent experience. There was no wait around 6 PM, so we were shown a booth immediately.
Our server quickly took our order. While they were good, it took quite a while for our drinks to get to the table.
Once our food was served, the server didn’t check back in until we were done and ready for the check. We would have ordered another round of drinks during dinner if our server would have dropped by.
The Pepperoni Rolls and the calzone were delicious; the food is definitely consistent.
We’ll probably come back at some point for the food and the impressive beer list.

Do not order from this place! Completely screwed up my order! As seen on my delivery receipt asked for Mac and cheese, got spaghetti. Asked for cheese sauce on the other pasta, got red sauce. Which the red sauce taste watered down. Asked for broccoli and cheese, got nasty brown broccoli. No one contacted me from the restaurant saying they were out of anything or option for substitutions. Waste of money and time!

Ordered 2 pizzas for pickup. I got there early and was asked by at least 4 people if I had been helped while I waited. After arriving home, we were totally disappointed. We have been eating at OC for over 10 years. I don’t know if they recently changed recipes or if it’s this location, but the pizza didn’t taste anywhere near what we’ve had in the past. It was always very flavorful with fresh ingredients. This time, it tasted incredibly bland. Additionally, we ordered a double deckeroni pizza. Based on the name, you would expect this to be loaded with pepperoni. In the past, that would have been true, but now I would say it barely has enough to be called a normal pepperoni pizza. I’m super disappointed, and unless I see a post that things have turned around, I will not likely be back. It is such a bummer as this was always one of our favorites. I found a picture online of the pizza OC posted in 2021 vs. what I got yesterday for reference. Full disclosure: My pizza has been refrigerated overnight, but you still get the idea.

This is the second day in a row a restaurant has overpriced their food and completely ripped me off with barely anything there to eat. I paid $17 for this pizza in the pictures and I literally ate everything in exactly 10 bites. On the menu it’s says this order would be 9 slices lol. Yea and they cut those into 9 small baby size pieces so don’t be fooled by the deceptive menu. How is that right? It’s so ridiculous how expensive everything is getting and now places like this are charging way too much for absolute garbage.

We popped in during the afternoon of 4th of July to an understaffed restaurant due to reasons beyond their control. Those who were working were BUSTING their a$$ off, super pleasant and apologetic – even though it was not their fault by any means. Kudos to all of you! Oh, the food was just fine as well. And yes, we’ll be back. Really appreciate all of their hard work on a short-staffed holiday.
