Rock Wood Fired Pizza & Grill is a great spot with a lively, busy atmosphere. The server was very good, and the entire staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive despite how crowded it was. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a nice option.

We ordered the veggie pizza and the margherita cheese pizza. Both tasted very good—fresh ingredients and nice flavors. They could have been cooked just a little more, but overall we still enjoyed them.

The real standout was the jalapeño mac & cheese bites—absolutely delicious and easily the best item we tried. Crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor!

Overall, a solid experience with good food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting again.

We had a wonderful experience at Rock’s last night. Linsey was very attentive with a wonderful smile, she definitely helped to make this a 5 star review. I find hospitality to be equally important as the food. I didn’t eat much as I had a late lunch, but I must say, this was one of the best salads in town. Anxious to return.

We came here because the pizza looked good and I love woodfired pizza. My Uncle has a legit one from Italy. We ordered hummus ($11) and a pizza ($23).

There was a good amount of staff but a normal restaurant would have one waitress per area and each table had a different waitress. Each waitress had a table where we were at and on the complete opposite side of the restaurant outside. Whoever trained them or the manager Who decides where the waitresses go needs some training themselves because it’s not efficient in any way shape or form. This caused many issues with people having to wave down a random waitress for something. Our waitress kept disappearing.

Service overall was terrible because our waitress kept disappearing and had to waive down different people, to get drinks, to get salt, to get napkins, etc.

The hummus was off… It needed salt and something else that I couldn’t figure out what it was missing, possibly tahini or something. The pizza was completely burnt on one side, literally black where the char would flake off. They obviously didn’t turn the pizza halfway when cooking like it should be. Either that or their own doesn’t distribute the heat evenly.

We took the hummus home so I could mix stuff in it to make it tolerable. I went to the bathroom and when I came back I asked where the pizza went. We had to flag down waving t the waitress to ask her where the pizza went. She said she thought it was garbage because we had a few napkins on the tray. I said no, we had napkins on one side and the slices on the other. Not sure why she didn’t even look at the tray and threw our expensive pizza away. So since she threw my food away and terrible service, I wont be back nor will I recommend this place. She could have at least offered like $5 off of the bill or something, but nope, she didn’t care. Management needs to do better with training people and learn how to put employees in one area so they can hopefully learn to be good wait staff.

Food was great. Wings were really good and had a good amount of chicken on them. The pizza, particularly the crust, was amazing. Katie was very attentive and a great waitress.

I wasn’t feeling pizza, so I decided to get the Rocks burger, cooked medium, with cheddar, onion rings, pickles, bacon & BBQ. The burger is made with a blend of sirloin and brisket and was very good. Extra points for the toasted bun! I got it with fries, which were average, but next time, I’ll try the homemade chips. You can get any sandwich or pizza made gluten-free. Our waitress, Danielle, was attentive and very friendly. The smile on her face never left! Overall, great experience.
UPDATE: Someone in my office ordered lunch from Rocks today and got the Marguerite Pizza and shared with the office. The sauce tasted homemade, had a generous amount of quality mozzarella, and just enough fresh tomatoes and basil leaves. If you’re looking for a crispy bottom crust, this isn’t it. You can fold the pizza in half when eating it. Some in the office didn’t like it because of that, and others loved it. I prefer a crispier crust, but I still enjoyed eating this pizza. It tasted great!

Server was nice. Food was not. Salmon and wings were way over cooked. And it was hard not to notice missing wings when I only ordered a 5pc. AIso, is this what your ceaser dressing usually looks like? If someone had come to talk to me for just a minute I wouldn’t have posted this. But if you don’t care enough to atop by for a minute, then neither do I. Check was $51 and we left hungry.

Has potential, but there are just some quirks about it that are holding it back. The service – while good – was very slow to receive our food. Took probably 30 minutes. Once we got it, I noticed that the sauce seemed to be homemade. Not a critique, it has great potential, but it was watery and caused the crust to be soggy. The crust was excellent before it got soggy, and I noticed a nice crunch with the first bite. We ordered a pizza with jerk chicken, but there wasn’t much jerk flavor to it at all. It was more similar to simple lightly seasoned shredded chicken. I also must mention that the decor was so uninspiring. All there was were a few stock photos, a couple of plants, and some old cans. Also, in the men’s bathroom there is a photo with a quote from Winston Churchill critiquing socialism. I don’t care what anyone feels about it, I just think it’s weird to make pizza political. Also, the music was boring. Same unoffensive 60’s pop they play everywhere else… You know them: Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Hooked on a Feeling, etc;. Finally, the outside seating area had a weird metallic smell due to the floor being made of pennies. My guess is that the mix of acid from tomatoes reacts with it and really aerosolizes that smell.

Will absolutely never eat or order here again. I called to place an order due to being pressed for time so that it would be ready when I got there. I specifically called and ordered half chicken bacon ranch and half veggie. On the phone they told me they only do one size pizza and can only do one base. So I said okay ill do red sauce for the whole thing. I get there to pay and they said they had to remake the pizza cause they messed up on one of the toppings which is frustrating but i didnt have time to wait so i said its okay ill just pay i need to go.i look inside the pizza and it was entirly cbr. The server comes back with an entirely seperate pizza for the veggie. They made two seperate pizzas the bill was almost $55 and I asked if they would just cut the pizzas in half to give me what I ordered since its their mistake. And they said they wouldn’t do that. Don’t know what’s so complicated about giving someone what they ordered. I will never order here again the lack of customer service for mistakes the restaurant made is crazy. The manager tried to tell me she heard what was said on the phone when I ordered which she must not have heard the girl tell me if I want it both things on one single pizza it has to be the same sauce which I said was fine !! It was supposed to be one pizza same base two seperate toppings. Completely disappointed with my first experince with this place.

We had a group of 8 arrive here on a Saturday around 6 pm. We were seated quickly, and all enjoyed our experience. The food was really good, service friendly and prompt, and live jazz music made it special. We will definitely be back to try out other menu items and different musicians. The appetizers (favorites – nachos and pimento cheese), burgers, and pizza were all really tasty. The sweet potato cheesecake was phenomenal! The draft beer selection worked well for our group from lagers (favorite: Peaches) to IPA. Check them out if you get a chance!
