We had high hopes for this restaurant, especially because our initial interaction with the front hostess, Deizar, was so pleasant. She was patient, took the time to explain the menu, and checked on us throughout our visit to make sure everything was going well. Her customer service was truly appreciated.
Unfortunately, the rest of our experience did not match that positive first impression. We ordered two meals: a half rack of ribs with sweet potato fries and a fruit cup, and blackened redfish with mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, fried crawfish, and a pound of boiled shrimp.
The issues started with the sweet potato fries, which were both hard and cold. When we brought this to our server, Victoria, she said she would remove them from the bill. Deizar also stopped by, and after we explained the issue, she said she would notify the manager.
The boiled shrimp were not properly cleaned, and the shells were very difficult to peel. The fruit cup looked as though it had been sitting out for an extended period and was not fresh. My redfish had good flavor, but it was overly seasoned to the point that it was difficult to enjoy.
We communicated these concerns to our server, who again said she would inform the manager. Unfortunately, the manager, Mary, never came to our table to address the situation.
At the end of the meal, Deizar returned and offered us a $10 card for a future visit. While we appreciated her effort, we declined, as our overall experience did not give us confidence to return.
It was disappointing that, despite multiple issues being reported, management never came to speak with us. Based on this visit, we do not plan to return.

We arrived, and it was right around the busy dinner hour and spent probably about 10 minutes trying to find parking for 2 cars. This is because Willie’s is located in a strip center that is, I utilized by a couple of other active businesses. And, if everybody’s place is busy all at once, there definitely isn’t enough parking for everyone. I’m not sure where the overflow lot is at, if you need it. Especially, if you really wanted to eat at Willie’s or one of the other businesses.
Surprisingly, we entered and there was a small line to get to the order registers. We may have waited maybe 5 or 10 minute. After the wait, we were greeted by the server behind the register. They took our orders and provided us a number, and then we were off to find an open table or booth. There wasn’t too much trouble finding an open table or booth because several were open for use to choose from for our small group of 3 people.
Are server greeted us, and took the receipt, showing order and asked if there was anything else we needed at the time. She then went off to put the order in and confirmed it with the kitchen.
I’m guessing we waited, maybe 15 to 20 minutes, at the most. She arrived with our food and everything, and looked, according to what we ordered. She refilled our drinks, and took very good care of us for the rest of our stay. I really enjoyed the visit to this Willie’s as it was first time at this location, near the outskirt of Kyle Texas. I’m looking forward to returning.

ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS AWESOME PLACE TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE!! Today was my 1st time there and it will beyond a shadow of a doubt be my new FAVORITE place! My server was Abby. She was great… knowledgeable, attentive, and great people skills! The atmosphere was great…trivia on a screen, news on another several sports on other screens. They have a very spacious bar area. We started with a beer and a Watermelon Mint Rita…great! For an appetizer… The Sampler…great and piled high! I had a Bacon Jam Brisket Burger with Street Corn on the side…both great! The Manager, Jessica, even surprised us with some Bourbon Bread Pudding…to die for! & a WAY TO GO, WILLIE’S!! See y’all soon

Willie’s in Kyle is just an easy, fun spot to hang out. Chill vibe, plenty of room, and the patio is great when the weather’s nice. Staff is super friendly and on top of things. Burgers and fries always hit the spot and the drinks stay cold. Perfect place to grab a bite, watch a game, or kick back with friends. Definitely a go-to around here.

Went here for a team work lunch out of town. Very friendly cashier up front, with an equally friendly and helpful waitress. She opted to bring us the food as it came out so it’d be fresh- very happy with that decision! My burger and fries was good, but not great. Maybe I’m used to two patties, but it was decent .Although they seemed hot and fresh, the fies just weren’t my cup of tea. Other options I saw like onion rings or even veggies looked more appealing. My co-worker ordered a gumbo that was supposed to have sausage and shrimp, but only had sausage. We told the waitress who quickly acknowledged and said she’d take care of it. After asking if she was going to take this soup back she replied “they want us to leave it with you.” And carne back with a very little bowl with a couple of shrimp in a puddle of broth. not what we thought was going to happen. Any way…I wasn’t a huge fan, but I think k most were pleased with their meal. I’ll probably be back at some point to another Willies, but will definitely try something else.

first time going to Willie’s very excited first time experience. I’m a very picky seafood lover and this was the best spicy Cajun crablegs that I’ve had slide out the shell in a min as you can tell.
My wife got the buffalo loaded potato she saw online. Didn’t catch the managers name but she was very attentive to the guest. as a cook at 54th and wife a server/bartender, best service we’ve had at any restaurant. Alana our server was amazing as well.

We stopped in at Willie’s Grill & Icehouse in Kyle, and overall it was a pretty enjoyable experience. The place has a great casual vibe, and the atmosphere was fun and lively. I ordered a burger, which was flavorful, but unfortunately not very hot, and I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked—so it came out a bit overdone for my liking.
My wife’s salad had good flavor but was served with the wrong type of lettuce and was a bit light on greens for the size of the plate. That said, the service was friendly, and we appreciated the fast and prompt attention.
Despite a few minor hiccups, the flavors were solid and we’ll definitely be back to give it another go. Could be a 5-star spot with just a little more attention to detail!
