Stopped through on a road trip after a recommendation from a family member. The prices are insane ($13 for 2 full meals) and the food was great. Cannot get a better bang for your buck. The inside was an old diner, we sat at the bar and got to watch the city while we ate. Down to return if I am ever in town again.

$28 for two people to eat. We had two burgers, two fries and two drinks (one a milk shake). The food was less than mediocre. I honestly do not know how this place has such good reviews.
The “milkshake” was basically soft serve in cup. Fries are bland and hard. You can get a better burger at McDonalds. Also didnt appreciate the lady in drive thru pressing customers to keep a “pay it forward” chain going. Over rated. Over priced.

The place is so dirty and run down that I don’t see how the health inspectors keep it open. The floors were greasy the tables and counter tops were broke down. The person taking orders acted like she hated her job. I was highly disappointed. I was scared to even try the food but after driving 2 hours because my husband said they have the best hamburgers and 20 years of him talking about them I decided to take him and although he wasn’t disappointed I just didn’t see what all the hype was . It was just a hamburger and some fries. The hamburger buns and condiments were fresh ketchup was gross, the hamburger was just a bland burger. The pie was stale tasting and the only reason I gave it a 2 star was others said the food was okay but next time I will go to Wendy’s because thats basically what it tasted like except fresher. After 80 years of service I think the owner should fire some employees or at least teach them how to mop. And fix the joint up. For something so talked about I know I won’t be going back . I was not impressed.

I grew up here, and it was always a treat to have Wilson’s for dinner, or grab after a movie. Whenever I am home, which is for class reunions, a bunch of us always stop in for lunch. Just being there, brings back great memories. The place still looks the same! The malts are tummy as ever, but even thou the burger was good, it didn’t taste the same. Something was missing. Someone told me they no longer grind their own meat, and it comes in frozen. Guess that’s the difference. But just for the ambience of childhood memories…..it was well worh it!

This review is so hard for me to have to do because with the ratings that’s on this place I expected a great mom and pop old fashioned diner experience. I don’t like rating a mom and pop place poorly but I’m a straight forward honest person and. Gonna give my honest review.
We stopped at another place for a coney to try as we couldn’t decide between that place and this one. We made the absolute wrong choice.
This was Saturday during the car show.
I will say the lady who waited on us was absolutely wonderful.
However, the employee sitting along the windows on the stool when we was there was absolutely rude and disgusting. Had we not already placed our order, we would have left. Honestly. We still should have asked for our money back and left.
I asked if the unmarked door was the bathroom and was told it was by the nice employee. So I went over to the door but someone was in there.
The rude employee informed me rudely that she told me someone was in there. Which I replied I’m sorry I didn’t hear you.
Then when the employee come out of the bathroom I went to go as it was my turn and the rude employee turns towards me and belches at me. Are you kidding me right now?
Anyways, we get our food. The fries was old and cold. The coney was okay. The hamburger was absolutely terrible. Tough hockey puck. But what got me was when I was about halfway through I began finding pieces I could t chew and started pulling some kind of paper out of my mouth. It’s not that there was paper in it that was the worst. What was worse is where the hell did his paper come from inside my sandwich. My stomach was absolutely turned by this. There was 4-5 pieces total and I’d wadded most of them in a napkin before I decided to take a photo of the last two pieces. I was now nauseous. The meal was absolutely one of the worst meals I’ve had out in I don’t know when. It set the new bar for terrible food. So then I thought maybe a bite of pie would help my turning stomach. Nope. One bite and struggled to swallow it. It was awful.
This is definitely a one and done experience. There is nearly 1300 people reviewing this place that truly needs to get our more if you think this place deserves the rating it has.

Great burger. Onions were good. The chocolate malt was a spoon necessary thick. Ambiance was nice. Right across from marathon offices. Shopping both ways to walk off the lunch.

Wilson’s is the ultimate comfort food. Their burgers are unmatched in freshness. Ordering here is a bit interesting. You order all of your sandwiches first so they can begin making them immediately while you contunue ordering. Their malts are amazing as well, they are similar to a frosty but better somehow. The fries are not put on the tray until everything else is ready to go so they are always hot and fresh. Their pies are on full display right by where you order so you can’t miss them. Get obe. The diner is a throwback to the 50’s Era having booths and window seating. The icing on the cake here is that this place is cheap! If you’re by yourself you can expect to spend maybe $5-6 for a full meal including drink! Also you never have to clean up! Just leave your tray on the table and they will come out and throw everything away! We’ll now that I’m good and hungry I think I’ll go to Wilson’s for dinner.
