My family and I used to go here regularly, and decided to visit this past Sunday since it had been more than a year. The chicken and shrimp my dad ordered was hard and overcooked, and the waitress rarely visited our table and had an attitude with a visibly displeased look on her face 50% of the time she was at our table. Also I should add that our waitress rarely visited our table and the host was on his phone most of the time. My leftovers are still in the fridge because it was not worth it. Definitely won’t be going back, which is sad because this was one of our regular spots!

The waitress was excellent, the sirloin was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was over cooked, fried rice was bland, soup was good, salad was cold and fresh dressing was thin in flavor. The chef had no personality, played with steak, dropped food on griddle without any class, lots of his food touched sides of grill, did not interact with us at all, he looked at me and looked at his tip jar, my friends noticed that I did not. For the prices the chef has to be professional, friendly and show skill. I would not recommend this place in Surprise

My husband got the 22 piece assorted sushi platter, and I got the Guilty Pleasure roll. So yummy! Our server was wonderful also. This is our favorite sushi restaurant!!

We sat at a regular table. The atmosphere was a bit dark in there. The koi pond was nice. Our waitress was nice and provided great service. I had steak and chicken. The chicken and steak cooked perfectly. The soup and salad was good. The rice and veggies and steak and chicken were great as well. Overall 5 stars.

I’ve probably driven by this place hundreds of times and for some reason never stopped in to check it out until this week. I’m regretting that after yesterday’s visit for lunch. There was plenty to love here and only a few small things I wouldn’t even necessarily call a negative. Let’s start with the parking lot. It’s pretty unassuming and a little run down. The vibe just doesn’t invite you in. It’s shared with Sam’s Club, Goodwill etc. Walking inside it is so much larger and nice so don’t let the outside fool you. We came for lunch and it was pretty empty. I liked that they have a teppanyaki side and then more family, dining boot tables, etc. which also includes a regular bar and seats at the sushi bar. Service was very friendly and we had our drink orders taken quickly and left with lunch menus to go over. First thing I’ll say it’s pretty pricy for lunch. They have some happy hour specials, but it is more expensive than other locations nearby. I wish they had more pictures or details on the menu of what some things are. I was in the mood for sushi so I went with their sweet and spicy crunch roll while my husband chose the beef yakisoba. This is where it was a bit frustrating for me. My roll came out pretty quick. Like I said it was not busy at all. My husbands food took longer and I sat for quite a bit waiting so we could eat together. It wasn’t an astronomical time or anything between but enough to where it wasn’t frustrating when you’re both hungry. The sushi roll was amazing. We’ll put together and perfect spicy level. Our waitress said it’s one of the most popular rolls. I’m not a huge fan of tempura so I wasn’t sure how I’d like it, but it was wonderful. My husband’s yakisoba looked amazing! He offered nec a few bites and the meat was tender, veggies prepared perfectly and wonderful flavor, he likes spicy so he added some sriracha to his liking since he didn’t have much else to add to it. All in all it was a great lunch. I know I’ll be back. I’d love of try to the teppanyaki.

Loved the experience and the food! The staff here are great, every person we interacted with just seemed like they were in a good mood and enjoying their work. Our food was prepared fresh and served with a really fun chef. Our cups were never empty and we left with very full bellies. It was my first experience with teppanyaki and I’ll definitely be back for more.

In 2023 I tried this place when visiting. I got steak and asked for medium rare. However when I started eating the middle of was raw. No biggie, maybe a simple mistake.
I just tried it again in 2026… asked for medium rare and the chef playfully shook his head at me and gave a smile. I get it, lol some people laugh at us medium rare people. I took one bite and the chef asked how it was and I said good. The outter smaller part I first bit into was fine…However, upon more bites yet again a completely raw steak. Noticed this after the chef left. The complete middle of it was absolutely raw, you could even see the raw red on the sides. I consumed a few pieces thinking the texture/flavor was funny then finally looked and realized it was raw. A now two days later I am now super sick. I literally left half chewed meat on the plate where it was obvious it was completely raw.
Two different years, two different chefs, and still being served raw steak. I feel bad because I’ve never given a 2 star review but I have to warn people please order MEDIUM steak or you’ll get served raw meat that will make you sick.
To spend $50+ on a meal and get sick is unfortunate. Overall I also felt it was over priced when it comes to flavor and the meal all together. The waitress/chef were nice but the quality was sub par. The sushi I liked though I will say.

Amazing restaurant! I love the atmosphere, the food, etc. I really wish there was one here in Texas because I really want to go again! We stumbled upon this restaurant on a very long road trip when we were in a car for several hours so this was a great find! I highly recommend! My favorite was the dessert, the green tea ice cream, it was delicious and I’m craving it so bad now! My parents also loved the food and everything too. The restrooms were clean and the coy fish were a cute bonus! If I’m ever in Arizona again, I’m going!
