I grew up in this area and had not stopped here in years. I’ll tell you what it was no disappointment after all these years. Actually I believe it was better. The fish is seasoned from the inside out. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Cooked perfectly and soooooo delicious. I plan to drive an hour 1 one way and treat myself at least once a month. It is definitely worth it. This is what I had:
Whole catfish and fries: 10/10 I looove whole fried catfish. My favorite! This one was one of the top 3 best I have ever had. The seasoning was on point. It was fried perfectly. The crunchy outside and tender inside was so perfect. I devoured the whole thing. Fries were good and seasoned. They appear to be hand cut.
Catfish filet and fries: 10/10 I tried these a couple of days after purchase. Put a piece in the air fryer and it bounced right back. Still full of flavor and satisfying.
Cookie pudding: 10/10 I did not get a picture. This was light, sweet, and has a great balance of flavor. It would be nice to have more crunchier cookies to offer more texture.
The tartar sauce also stood out in flavor, creaminess, and is a great complement to the fish. Get this is if you like fresh made really good sauce.

I am extremely disappointed with DoorDash and Catfish Connection. I’m leaving this honest review because my experience was unacceptable, and I will not be returning.
I will start by saying, I Experienced something tremendously disturbing here today. I basically witnessed a bit of racism & Favoritism, and I feel like Hispanics aren’t welcome here and when we do go in, they make us wait longer than the persons who order after us with way more items. They’re African American customers Definitely get their orders fresh and hot. It’s Sad that this Country tries to Divide Black and Brown to the point were we can’t go into each other’s establishments and support one anothers businesses without All The Extra-ness and ugly-ness
I placed a pickup order through DoorDash at 1:39 PM so it would be ready during my 2:00–3:00 PM lunch break. I did not receive the “order is ready” notification until 2:50 PM. I have screenshots confirming this delay.
When I arrived, the food was cold. Because of the delay, I had to go back to work without eating.
I specifically ordered catfish. The fish I received did not look, taste, or have the texture of catfish. It appeared to be swai (pangasius), which is a different and typically less expensive fish. If customers are paying for catfish, they should receive catfish — not a substitute.
On top of that, the staff was very rude when I asked about the delay, and the girl who answered the phone was extremely rude as well.
In my personal opinion, if a restaurant cannot handle the volume of DoorDash orders because they aren’t set up to push them out efficiently, they should turn off DoorDash. Leaving it on and taking customers’ money without being able to deliver is unacceptable.
Late food, cold food, questionable fish substitution, and poor customer service. I will not be returning.
This experience is also a reminder that food quality and customer service are subjective. Just because someone recommends a place and has a great experience does not mean everyone else will.

Google gotta figure out a way to let us give negative stars. The fish is not what I remember as a kid but thats cool cause maybe management changed. But the customer service from light skinned Saucy Santana was beyond me! No hellos or thanks for coming. And really give why you bothering me vibes while I’m at work?!?! They don’t give u napkins the only thing might be fair is the fillets a they don’t even taste like catfish!!!!!! Only thang good is fries I drove from Mesquite to get shit like this!!! The mixed catfish strips were were crispy and delicious, even after a 30 minute commute. The crab cakes were perfectly seasoned, and I know would taste even better on a toasted bun with bacon lettuce and tomato with that special sauce. And I can’t neglect to mention the moist and divine Peach Cobbler cake bowl They did their big one. Thank Yall!!

I do got to say if you go there on Friday you can have to wait in line. Overall I ordered from Uber Eats for pickup. They give you kind of a quick window when to pick up. Please remember this place is taking a lot of orders by phone also ☎️ You don’t even sit down inside to eat here and everything is take out. Remember they’re getting a lot of orders. Now I got to say they messed up on my order. They missed out on something but they made up by giving me two extra fish fillets . I was going to give him three stars but when I ate the food an I noticed that I ate it so fast. I didn’t even take enough pictures so what does that tell you lol If you are in the area and it’s not lunch time or dinner time. You owe it to yourself to stop by here and enjoy this delicious fish If it’s dinner or lunch time just understand you going to wait to enjoy

Called in my order, a rude lady answers the phone … made my order. Went to pick it up … 30 min wait, with is fine.
Got my food and left. When I left I noticed tons of rat droppings, junk stacked up in the waiting area and the place was just filthy.
Got home. Food was disappointing and scary to try now. Fries were soggy and greasy. Fish wasn’t great. This is not catfish. Did not taste like catfish. At all. If it was, it’s probably frozen catfish from Sam’s. More corn meal than fish. The crab cake looked like a burnt chocolate cookie and the taste was off. I just threw it away. Who knows how old it was.
The shrimp and tartare sauce just ok.
I couldn’t eat it anymore. Just dumped it.

The wait was at least 30 minutes. Once i actually got my food I might as well just had been eating fried catfish batter. I got the lunch special and got 3 chicken nuggett sized “filets” and when i bit into them they were very crunchy n hard to chew. There was literally like no meat just batter and it was COLD n tasted old like they just pulled some old ones out. I literally had to go to ronnies afterwards to eat some actual catfish. I drove all the way from Addison here and left extremely disappointed. I def will not be back and dont recommend bc i dont want anybody elses money and time wasted like mine was
