Highly recommend Egg Benedict. 4 star for food because the vegetables omlette probably had no salt at all. You can customise pancakes – really recommend trying simple pancakes with pecan. It was a new experiment and loved it.
Our server was really sweet – she made a mistake of getting omlette with bacon but she got us a replacement like within 5 mins. Also gave us $5 off from check.
Service, however, was just okay, a bit slow and not very attentive (3 stars for that). The atmosphere and seating were average, kind of like your typical diner (3.5 stars).
That said, the food definitely made up for the service and setting. I’d absolutely come back, just come for the food, not the experience, and you’ll leave happy.
It manages to sit in just the right spot between the very healthy hipster brunch style, with green salads as sides and sourdough bread instead of English muffin as a base, and the cholesterol crisis-inducing typical English/East Coast style, where the only potatoes are home fries drowning in oil. Tastes amazing, and leaves you feeling just the right amount of guilty.
Additionally, service is friendly and timely, and the interior does a great job of being a lovely retro diner.
I have been to a lot of brunch places, but this is the one for me. I make sure to visit as many times as I can when I’m in the area, and I just hope I keep finding reasons to visit.
I didn’t use expletives in the review, but if you want the real experience, just pepper them in throughout for emphasis. That’s definitely how I was thinking it.
Huge menu for breakfast/brunch! I’m my opinion the best deal is the Eggs Benedict, because it comes with either 3 pancakes or a slough of hash browns (see photo below). Service was on point, food hot and fresh and the bottomless coffee was always hot and fresh (although it was over $4.00)!
Great experience, good menu, generous portions and perfect service. Highest rated breakfast food cafe we could find on the Eastside!
Highlights: Freshly-made pies (which are paired nicely with coffee and ice cream), fresh turkey, and other classics come with ample sides.
Make sure you arrive early, as parking and seating can be a little challenging, but it’s worth the wait.
This is my go-to in the Redmond area for breakfast and brunch!
Came back a few days ago during a rush. It was crowded and the entrance was almost totally blocked off by people (I don’t have an issue with this! I’ve worked in the industry, I understand rushes). My grandmother and I stand off to the side and are accidentally pushed to the entrance to the other dining area, but before we could move away a waitress tells my grandmother to move very rudely! I was honestly surprised and told her that we just about to move and she gave me more snark. We just left, VERY disappointed.
