We went upstairs to the Crowsnest and the views were beautiful.

Suki took care of us and was sweet and helpful.

The Crab Cocktail was great. The crab was fresh and delicious and the little bit of cocktail sauce was something that I have never had with crab meat but was a wonderful addition.

The deep fried stuffed mushrooms were very good, and I am normally not a fan of mushrooms.

The grilled salmon was beautifully moist and had a nice charred note.

The scallops and shrimp in the seafood linguine were very good. The noodles were a bit soft and watery, the flavors in the seafood tomatoes carried the dish to being good if not great.

Stopped here for lunch. The best thing about it was our server and the water. The food was not good. I had the blackened chicken pasta and it was not at all what I expected it to be. I have had this dish in many restaurants in many states and although everyone always has their own take on it, never have I ever had what tasted like jarred marinara sauce on it. It was not edible. My husband ordered the Cajun seafood grill and he said the seafood tasted like it was fresh off the Sysco truck. To their credit, they did take my meal off the bill because I couldn’t eat it, even though I said I was happy to pay for it. And it does have a relaxing atmosphere and good views to enjoy.

We went to this restaurant on a Saturday around 1:00 PM. We picked the closest restaurant to where we parked. Going in we were told to sit wherever and picked a spot in the corner that had a nice view of the harbor. Our waitress brought us menus then a few minutes later some lightly flavored citrus waters. I ordered shrimp linguine and my guest ordered a hamburger. Another group of four was sat at the table behind ours and they were criticizing the wine selections and taste because the bottle had been opened already and lost flavor. It took a while to get refills on our waters. Once we got our food my guest wanted ranch for the fries but the waiter took off before we could ask for anything. She said the burger tasted like it was previously frozen. My salad had wilted lettuce, but it is likely due to the off season. While I found my meal had a lot of shrimp, I was not a fan of the sauce used. The waitress brought us our check before I was fully finished which I never appreciate. Overall the experience was fine. That’s all, fine. Would probably go to other nearby restaurants if we returned to the area.

The best dinner of our 10-day road trip along the Oregon coast. This is Oregon cranberry country, and the cranberry bread that accompanied our meal was phenomenal. If you stop by early enough, you can order a loaf and pick it up the next day. My salad featured shrimp and cranberries–an unusual combination, but it worked beautifully–just delicious. Service was great. Highly recommended.

The Wheelhouse quickly became my favorite restaurant while visiting Bandon! My friend and I enjoyed it so much that we ate there three times in just two days. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. They were very accommodating with my dairy- and gluten-free requests, which I really appreciated. Great prices, generous portions, and delicious food — the sauce was the cherry on top (honey vineggrette)
I highly recommend it!

Ask for DJ! I have been there twice and that’s why I have to leave a review. DJ served us both times. What can I say? Quintessential bay front experience you dream of having while visiting a coastal town. What’d I have? Always the clam chowder, thick, salty, chunky with all the warmth in flavor you should anticipate. For me? The roch fish sandwiches. Reminds me of my Alaskan fishing days of making them on the spot! That fresh I tell ya. What did wifey have? The burger….in which said was made just right.
Trust me…it’s the sincere service, no better view of the bay, and stunning food. Way to go guys!

5/5 The clam chowder was pretty good with generous chunks of clam.
3/5 The fish and chips are found wanting. The tarter sauce is way too “mayo-ee”. The breading on the fish needs more seasoning. The fish is…meh. Dry rather than simply flakey.
4/5 The cranberry bread was really good but I was only given one small piece. Odd note is my bread was given to be on a small plate. Every other table was offered basket stuffed with bread. Perhaps this was because I was eating alone but I would’ve liked a more generous serving of this as well.
5/5 My server was nice and attentive even though it was busy. Note, she was not the one to bring me the bread.
The ambiance is unique in a good way. Nice view of part of the harbor. It was crowded tonight so the voices echoed pretty loud in the small space with old wooden walls. Not a super big problem but if you’re looking for a quiet dinner this may not be the place.

The service team was extremely kind and attentive. The food tasted fresh and well done for what it is. My partner said the scallops were a bit rubbery but I didn’t mind at all. It was certainty generously portioned and satiating!

This is our favorite restaurant in Bandon by far. The seafood is amazing and we just make sure to get reservations the minute we roll into town. Also, the margaritas are made with fresh squeezed lime ‍ juice and are delicious. Highly recommended & we see them turn people away every time we’re here.
